In this video Abdul-Raheem Green explains some of the primary evidences for the truthfulness of Islam.
How do we know Islam is the religion from Allah? How do we know Islam is the truth (haqq)? Over fourteen hundred years ago a man came and called people towards the pure and beautiful religion of Islam. He was Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Aali-hi Wa Sallam) the last and final messenger sent by Allah to guide mankind.
Today, many people claim to act upon the deen of Islam, yet how many people act upon it with certainty?

Born in Dar-es-salaam in Tanzania to British parents, Green's father (born in England), Gavin Green, was a colonial administrator in the then extant British Empire. At an early age he moved back to the UK with his parents. His mother is of original Polish origin.
At the age of 10 he attended a Roman Catholic Monastic boarding school at Gilling Castle and then went onto Ampleforth College and went on to study history in the London University. However, he left his education unfinished in an effort to devote himself to Islamic works.
He became dissatisfied with Christianity at the age of 8, with it not making sense to him.
Green researched and practiced many religions, including Buddhism (for 3 years) before embracing Islam.
Whilst in Britain his father got a job in 1976 working for Barclays Bank International and was subsequently sent to Cairo, Egypt, to set up a branch of the Bank there.
His study of the Noble Qur'an immediately attracted him to Islam and he embraced Islam in 1988. He has been a Daw'ah practitioner in Britain since then.
Green now works in the London Central Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre as the Visits and English Dawa Co-ordinator.
Green is seen akin to lecturers such as Dr. Zakir Naik, Dr. Bilal Philips, Khalid Yasin and Yvonne Ridley, doing many lectures on Islam worldwide and also in London's famous Hyde Park, Speakers Corner. Like DigitalMimbar on Facebook: www. TheMimbar

dear brother,peace be upon you.,do you know Mohammed was a simple honest human being just like me and you but he was 'ummi' meaning couldn't read or write.he was approached by some immortal being when he was meditating and asked to recite the verses which were later written down in the form of the holy book,Koran...you must read its english translation in order to believe that it cannot be written by a human being,

I'm not a language expert but i have looked into this and arabic has changed plenty over time, enough to mystify further wrtings that were already subject to differing interpretation. And arabic writing/alphabet has also altered giving rise to more conjectures. i do appreciate however that as muslims see arabic as the language of allah that there has been efforts over time to preserve the language in one form.
Yep, you do have to be able to pray from the heart, and Muslims do this by means of intention and also (if they don't understand Arabic) by learning the translations. Only the ritualistic prayers are recommended to be performed in Arabic, the rest (like your personal prayers (duas)) can be performed in any language. Hope that helps.

do u know that some people embrace islam, they dont really know about arab language. even me,but u know something, when u learn arab, u will get close to the creator, as Quran being revealed to the arab, and it has a deeper meaning rather any lang.

Subhanallah. At 1:23:37 he talks about scientific miracles in the Qur'an. I am a medical student and I remember reading Keith Moore's embryology book in school and this is amazing that one of the world's leading embryologists testified that the Qur'an spoke of human embryos way before humans discovered the science with microscopes. You were partly right about Big-bang but in clear words it is mentioned in Quran 41:11 that, "The He turned toward the sky, which was but smoke, He said to it ....."

WHat I don't get about religion is if all religious leaders all say their religion is the "true religion" - which one of them is wrong???
My take on it is as follows- anyone who claims to have the true religion is too full of arrogance to realise that they have committed themselves to inflexibility.

No, what happens is that people who want to believe in Islam will find try to make genuine scientific evidence about the formation of the earth, and the cosmos fit vague statements from the Quran, believers will go along with this because of their nature as believers. Same as creationist christians do.

Wait. Did he just say that if people are sincere they'll accept his first argument as proof for Islam? Even if I accepted the world needed a creator, that at best gets me to Deism. It says nothing about wether or not such a deity actually tries to connect with us. Of course perhaps I misunderstood.
Surely Allah would want people to pray from the heart and not just to recite prayer in a language that may be foreign to him or her? Islam may be the fastest growing religion but the bible states , '' But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.'' To be Muslim you have to believe or testify that There is No God but Allah and Muahammed is his messanger Peace and Blesssing of God upon him. That is the Shahada. Which is the first pillar of Islam.

I think you guys are talking about two different things. Mdooley, you're talking about prayer in the sense of talking to God, asking for things, etc. That sort of thing we can do in any language, and we usually refer to it as "du'a." KhalifahKlothing is talking about "salah" which is a ritual worship/prayer that has to be done in Arabic since it involves recitation of God revealed Word in the Quran.
Very nice talk. The speaker gave a great effort to convince people who are ignorant of Islam like i was. Whoever wants to follow islam, please-please: READ the Koran before you convert. Read the Hadiths about the KILLINGS of WHOM-EVER decides to leave this brain-washing faith and don't forget to read about JIHAAD against non-muslims as well. If you think there's something wrong with Islam, remember, you are not the only one! Don't close your eyes to the clearly written commands that allah is giving to muslims. thank you
