Born in Dar-es-salaam in Tanzania to British parents, Green's father (born in England), Gavin Green, was a colonial administrator in the then extant British Empire. At an early age he moved back to the UK with his parents. His mother is of original Polish origin.
At the age of 10 he attended a Roman Catholic Monastic boarding school at Gilling Castle and then went onto Ampleforth College and went on to study history in the London University. However, he left his education unfinished in an effort to devote himself to Islamic works.
He became dissatisfied with Christianity at the age of 8, with it not making sense to him.
Green researched and practiced many religions, including Buddhism (for 3 years) before embracing Islam.
Whilst in Britain his father got a job in 1976 working for Barclays Bank International and was subsequently sent to Cairo, Egypt, to set up a branch of the Bank there.
His study of the Noble Qur'an immediately attracted him to Islam and he embraced Islam in 1988. He has been a Daw'ah practitioner in Britain since then.
Green now works in the London Central Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre as the Visits and English Dawa Co-ordinator.
Green is seen akin to lecturers such as Dr. Zakir Naik, Dr. Bilal Philips, Khalid Yasin and Yvonne Ridley, doing many lectures on Islam worldwide and also in London's famous Hyde Park, Speakers Corner. Like DigitalMimbar on Facebook: www. TheMimbar

you ASSUME things my friend.
you think"international trade" those days are like todays but it is not. there are just so many barrier like distance, language-and the Prophet only speaks Arab mind you- and the kind of people he dealt with during trade were only normal people who never care whether the earth is flat or hexagon or round.
And the way the Quran reveal it is another miracle. it's eloquent and precise. but then again...you don't care do you?

we are muslim and we do not conduct ourselves like that, even though that person insults us or curses at us. look at our prophet for example even though he got cursed at treated badly he still was kind and merciful and that's how islam spread.
Be careful bro, all you have to do is convey the message of islam to people not convert . Allah guides whom he wills, and leads astray whom he wills. Fear Allah obey him and the prophet.

Can you give and example of my dishonesty please? Because i know i'm not twisting any facts here. I know Islam is the best way of life because i am living it,the Quran is a miracle because none can come even close to its truth and you are deceiving yourself when you call me dishonest.
do you know history? do you know at what period of time and at what kind of people the Quran was sent down? do you know when people started to discovers all the science facts in the Quran coincide with modern world? do you know about the man who received this revelation? No man could have ever known of the science facts in the Quran at the time it was revealed-this is not my saying, but the sayings of Scientist of the modern world.

those people you mention are thinkers of their time, each are specialist in their own accord so when they make those discoveries it's only natural.
But when the Prophet declared such facts in a time when his people are always on wars with each other, when fathers killed their daughters, when no world empire would give a 2nd look to this people for their barbaric way of life. and all those facts came from only 1 person who was only an illiterate layman- Now that is a miracle-Don't you think?
you see...no historians have ever dispute the fact that the sciences knowledge revealed in the Quran is impossible at that time. None also claim the person you mention discover as what you claim. and most of all,like i said before, let say we agree for a moment that you are right-how can he know that those were correct at a time when others also had their own claims like the world is flat? search the truth sincerely please.

Like i said;Who are you to judge? how can you give a one word comment about something that you have no knowledge of? Have you really study it, read the translation of the Quran from front to back with its explanation? Studied the history based on academic books? You don't even have a clue on why you are visiting this page.
