This truck is a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado/Sierra Duramax LLY 6.6L V8 DIESEL with an Allison 1000 series 5 speed transmission, shortened and reinforced frame. We are making this truck INTERNET FAMOUS!

as a general rule, the distance of your rod away from your work, should be about the thickness of your rod.....and also, a 4 1/2" grinder with a wire wheel, is easer and quicker than that slag hammer......great project, I think I'll build one for my Silverado....thanks

... it’s basically a toaster. But it does the job for cheap, and it hasn’t let us down yet!
Shifted Interests Does it actually work? I had a friend and he would use it and everything would immediately break off
Your friend needs to change the settings then, cause it’s surprising how strong the welds are from this thing. Check out our smart car build, the entire thing has been built with this welder and not a single weld has broken yet.

Run 6010 finish with 7018. I just bought a 4'x8' 3/16" metal plate for 100 bucks. Designed my own. 32 hrs well get it done. Solid and one of kind 💪🏽💯 still have enough material for rear bumper. too.

+Dr. Mark in Texas Thanks! And we don't have a winch on the truck. Our logic is, if it gets stuck on the farm we have tractors to pull it out. And it doesn't see mud other than on the farm.

+Jay Payne Not sure if it made it in the final cut of the video, but we had to modify the holes to fit the lights. We welded in a plate to make the hole smaller. We couldn't find lights that fit the stock holes either.

+Grant Sarver Our bias will be towards the ones we have experience with. We only have experience with MOVE, and we have no complaints about it at all. But I'm sure that most other similar bumpers will have the same experience, it all comes down to personal preference.

Be careful grinding near the trucks it can do a lot of damage to paint and glass
+Hobby Machine It sure can, we do our best to aim away, and even cover the vehicles with cardboard if we are working really close. Our safety precautions rarely seem to end up on camera.
