I went to trade in my 15 ram 1500 bighorn on a 22 classic warlock. It was listed at $48k. When I got to the dealer, they told me that the market adjusted price was $58k. They expected me to pay $824 per month on a lease. Btw for those who don’t know, a 2015 ram and a 22 ram classic are the same truck. Also, this warlock had no options at all aside from the off road package. It didn’t even have a hemi. At $58k I at least want a hemi. My bighorn doesn’t have one either, but only paid $22k back in 2019 w/ 50k miles. I have more interior options and an extended power train warranty until 100k miles . I’m at 78k. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that my rockers are starting to rust. I’m going to get them linexed. Sorry for ranting.
I bought a 04 chevy 2500hd single cab with 94500 on it, rockers and cab corners were just starting to show surface rust, this summer I tackled the driver side ( the worst side because the running board was cut off), using rust kutter, grinders and rust primer and undercoating. Not expecting it to last forever before I need to do something like this but at least bought myself a few more years.
No mention of the quick cover price. The set costs about $425. Also, you have to remove the door striker for the rear extended cab door. The quick cover has dimples showing you where to drill through for the bolt holes. I have the textured set, and I'm really happy with the result.
Wow I wonder if MA does. Maybe you can attach some galvanized roof flashing on bottom to floor? This will hide missing Rocker & stabilize the rocker. That will likely pass
Just bought a Reg Cab 2014 Silverado/66,000 miles, think I got a decent deal HOWEVER, the rockers were intact paint bubbling not not falling off and showing the rust yet. Question is, should I grind and prime and paint on the rockers before I put the covers on? I feel pretty scared that I just threw $12,000 at a truck. The cost of having them cut out and replaced by a body shop is about $3500 per side. For $19,000 I could have bought a truck that was in much better shape. I really hope you respond.

These have their applications. Doesn’t always make sense to spend $4000 for a proper weld in repair. These may accelerate rust by trapping moisture. However, if you already have severe rust the damage has already been done.

I'm in. I live in salt country. Rust preventative is part of the cost of being the Boss.
