  • How to properly install a chrome shift linkage on late model Harley-Davidson touring models in this latest BCR Garage Series episode. The part I used is off of Amazon at this link: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07...
I purchased with my own money, and I do not get any commission off the sale of this part.

Did the same upgrade to my road king last year after watching Law Abiding Biker Channel and his linkage failing on a road trip. Improved looks and functionality, a win-win !
    Good how to vid.

I make way too many “exceptions”. Another great video and always enjoy your garage videos. Ride safe

Nice upgrade. Very nice tool set. My wrenching skills are an embarrassment in comparison!

Thanks Scotty. I like having the right tool for the job, so I've got quite a few Harley specific specialty tools.

I been wondering where you were. I truck up through Kenosha all the time. I’m always looking for you on the bike. That stock shift linkage is junk. I replace mine every time I get a bike. It’s always the first upgrade I do. Just loctight them and snug them and you are good to go.

So glad to see your back! Hope all is well. I will be doing this on my 2016 dynamic switchback even though it only has 7000 miles. Great vid as usual!

I the stock one to pop off with me miles from home and had to use wire ties on it to get home. All keep wire tie on a bike. 🍻

I couldn't get the back nut loose to save my life so I had Harley put my new linkage on when they replaced my rocker boxes. I thought maybe they put the cover on the wrong end but I see it goes on the back piece.

Have you ever done a toolbox tour???

  • @Old-n-slo-locked-n-leaned

How is the linkage holding up after a year? I hear the Harley version starts chrome pitting within a year.

Yeah, it's performing great and have had no issues. Chrome looks as good as new yet.

Didn't give you any problems but your going to create problems for yourself. You don't want that failing while your delivering toys at Christmas. 🎉
