After a thorough count yesterday, the Solomon Islands Electoral Commission has declared John Stewart as the winner of the Duidui ward seat following a peaceful election this week. Stewart emerged victorious among six candidates, securing the majority of votes cast. The election for
Duidui Ward in the South Guadalcanal Constituency was delayed due to the passing of a candidate and did not coincide with the April Joint Election as stipulated by Electoral Law.
