In today's video, I'm reviewing one of my favorite brands, Tillamook...it's so creamy! Here's a little about the Caramel Swirl flavor that I'm trying: www.tillamook.com/products/ic...
If you've tried this one, or a similar flavor, let me know about it in the comments!
Thanks for watching Ice Cream Meltdown 👊 🍦

Thank you for this video, @Ice Cream Meltdown!
Caramel Swirl is Old-Fashioned Vanilla with some swirls of caramel. (I did not think it was worth manufacturing unless there would have been more items in the body of the ice cream to create a sundae-like flavor: swirls of chocolate sauce; a nut of some kind; and small pieces of maraschino cherries.)
I was finally able to get Banana Split, which was shown in a past video, at a store in the metro area of Detroit, Michigan. (One thing has changed: instead of Vanilla Bean, now used is Old-Fashioned Vanilla.) It is…OK. 😮
My Top 5 from Tillamook Premium Ice Cream (effective 11.19.2022, there are 28 flavors): 01. Chocolate; 02. Old-Fashioned Vanilla; 03. Waffle Cone Swirl; 04. Marionberry Pie; 05. Birthday Cake.

Thanks for that feedback, and for sharing your top 5 flavors from Tillamook. I also love the Udderly Chocolate and the Chocolate Chip they make.

Writing this from London, from Udderlicious ice cream shoppe. They weren’t thrilled when I asked them what brand of ice cream they use. I guess they think it’s too plebeian to partake of factory delicatessen? Anyway, London isn’t an ice cream Mecca. Your Italy video made me wonder if Italy is.
You have made videos from non-corporate ice cream places. We used to go to milk farms in upstate NY and Vermont. They too have a family ice cream parlor. The ice cream itself was never fabulous, but the smell of hay made it all romantic.
I think the difference might be more than of taste. Between brands, and cottage ice cream. Just as one can either like diet or regular soda, so too cottage vs. corporate ice cream. One either gets used to the smooth, airy, thick flavors, or the less sophisticated home made stuff.
Udderlicious has warm, smiling, even flirty hostesses, fun ambience, high prices. It’s a different view of ice cream. But not ice cream heaven.

This is really a really interesting view on corporate vs. cottage industry ice cream. There's so much more to ice cream than the product itself, considering the packaging, atmosphere, people selling it, the production, etc. Thanks for this take on ice cream in London. In Italy, going out for freshly made gelato is part of the culture, like getting an espresso.
