Are y’all doing Chili Peppers?!!!’ For real?!!! My guys, this band got me through all the HS bs during the 90s in LA. These guys are one of the best sounds in rock and roll, they put on one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen in my life. Please please listen to Scar Tissue! It’s a gorgeously sad song about recovering from Heroin Addiction, it’s amazing
Their live performance was amazing. I was blessed to see them at Woodstock 99. BTW, The HBO doc on Woodstock 99 gives a grossly incorrect characterization of what went down.
Same. I broke up with my girlfriend right when this album came out and drove solo from Philly to LA with $500 to my name. Spent a lotta time in my 87 Honda Accord smoking blunts and listening to this whole album!
The lyrics are equally as important as the visuals. For this kind of a band find a way to look at both while you review and react. You’ll get a great deal more out of it.
hearing y’all harmonize ‘otherside’ gave me the biggest smile 😂 i absolutely love seeing people that aren’t suuuper familiar with my favorite band just digging their shit ✊✊🙏🙏🙏👏👏
My 3.5 year old niece calls me Unkie, and her parents were playing this song in the car and my niece said she likes it. They told her "Unkie loves this song!" .I have the RHCP asterisk tattooed on my arm. Now my niece thinks its my song lol. She told me "Unkie I like your song". Talk about renewed love for this song.

“Under the Bridge” is the Red Hot Chilli Peppers best song…it’s lyrics are about the lead singers crippling heroin addiction that he eventually overcame. I’d love to hear ya’ll do that one someday!

Fun fact, hip hop producer Rick Ruben who produced for Run Dmc, LL cool j and Beastie Boys in the late 80's is the main producer for this entire 'Californication' album. Ruben produced 99 problems by Jay z and also did a handful of songs on Eminem's Marshall Mathers LP2 which features 'Rap God'... 'Rhyme or Reason' 'So Far' and 'Love Game' feat Kendrick are stand outs that Ruben produced for Em on that album.
Why is Brandon always dropping knowledge in every single video LMAO. I just found ya'll I swear every video this man says some fact about some shit that I had no idea about.
RHCP songs never get old. I feel like the Californiacation album came out 5-10 years ago. It came out in ‘99. Flea is one of the greatest bassists ever. Listen for his baselines
@@thebikewatcher9819 Its not referencing the moon landing. Its talking about TV and Movies. The opening to the TV series Star Trek is "Space...The final frontier"
Soul to Squeeze, Snow, and Scar Tissue are my favorites by them out of their bigger hits. I'd give any of those a listen just to familiarize yourself with them and their sound.
This is definitely one of the Chili Peppers' best, you guys are great reactors, more so when you're all there. This is a complex song with lots of Los Angeles lyrics that are hard to understand if you've never lived there, and especially in Anthony Keidis' experience, his life. This entire album is incredible, not just the singles. Do more Red Hot Chili Peppers, these guys are fire.
I saw them in concert! It was at the second Lollapaloosa festival in Orlando! It was the same night that Hurricane Andrew hit south Florida (Miami). I had long hair at the time and my hair was blowing straight to the side all night long! The chili peppers were the last band to play and around 11pm they told everyone that it's not a good ideal to go south! I didn't care because I was younger, and I was having a blast! Me and a friend bought tickets and as soon as the crowd split directions (swirled/mosh pit) he went one direction I was pushed in another direction. I didn't see him the rest of the night until about 15 minutes before the concert ended! I had a killer time for sure!
My favorite truth/line from this song..."Space may be the final frontier, but it's made in a Hollywood basement"--- RHCP are an amazing group and great songs- I would suggest doing "By the Way" a fun video/song or else "Purple Stain" just because it is insane and my fave song- And I love John Frusciante and Anthony Keidis and Chad and Flea.. the only band to go on stage naked with a tube sock on their "privates" nothing else, just a sock and their instruments, for concerts.. and a key requirement was to be built and not embarrass them... Their Slane Castle concert 2003 is amazing and on CZcams- And as "mosh-pit" as they are, they have been known to stop concerts, when their fans are in danger... They really are one of the best!
Aquí en Argentina desde que tengo 6 años los escucho me encanta el estilo de la banda es único e increíble, Californication mí canción favorita en el mundo
Zephyr is my favorite from them. You don’t want to live in LA, believe me LA sucks, some of my family lives there and my nephew had to leave bc of the crime and homelessness. California has been ruined by liberal policies- high crime, high taxes, high rent( in the cities), rampant homelessness, strict gun laws. But it is a beautiful state, outside of the cities.
You guys are finally coming around with the good stuff. Keep doing any rhcp foo fighters songs. Blink 182 stay together for the kids is a good one you should do
You guys should react to “Never Enough” by Eminem (ft. 50 Cent and Nate Dogg). 3 GOATs on 1 track and all 3 of them kill their parts. I think it’s 50 Cent’s best verse ever and the only time he ever outdid Eminem on a song together. Certified hood classic!
Hey, I just scrolled past a vid that was released a few days ago and was titled The Red Hot Chili Peppers announce latest world tour! My son has seen them in concert 4-5 times..I’d love to see them just once! ❤
LA would be amazing for you (to the guy on the right side back). I still feel like that's my home even after leaving. But yes it does come with some pretty heavy downsides too. It's not for everyone. I don't regret my time there at all. My favorite little bungalow I rented was in Hollywood. Go where you want, live where you want, do what you want. You won't have regrets if you even just try it for a year. Best of luck ❣
I stayed with 3 friends in a truck with a closed bed selling acid (mostly eating it) in Hollywood for a month. This song reminds me of that time so much and I had this crazy trip after taking 5 tabs. We tried to get out of Hollywood and head to topanga canyon because the vibes were bad and evil but we kept getting looped back. I saw some wild stuff and the album playing in the car was NOFC but I heard an album that didn’t exist that was detailing what this song is about but it was a compalation between RHCP, Korbut, and Marylin Manson. And then some other crazy stuff happened with my friend that practiced Kabbalah and was into the qilphoth
I can't count on how many times I heard that song and I like it but will say that's the first time ever seeing the video And I'm a southern boy myself Thanks guys
Yooooo I can't believe that you watched the video instead of breaking the lyrics down section by section because you guys missed EVERYTHING that was supposed to be broken down and fully understood... WOW it's mind blowing that you ALL MISSED EVERYTHING!!!! YOU SERIOUSLY NEED A PART 2 TO THIS VIDEO!
