    3:14 Yeah I used that white.. it was so glossy and See through.
    So I use acrylic paint.
    It works Good with acrylic.
    And I use Apple Barrel. It's good quality!! 💓💓💓💓💓

    White markings take forever to do properly, but so worth it when done. All my white paint has been thinned out, and it's so much easier. And you're so right---there are no short cuts. Thank you for making this video. (Jan Griffiths).

    This video was a great reminder that I need to buy new brushes and Jo Sonja paint! It's definitely my favorite brand by far for paint markings!

    I’ve been developing my skills in whites for a couple years; I love the hairing process but I hate those brushstrokes when the pop up sometimes, and I do use cheaper paint, even though I do water down my paint. So I’ll definitely give the Jo Sonja a try to see if it helps a bit! This was a good video and I realize I should plan better to both save resources and time

    And good brushes last a long time if taken care of properly. I've used cheap dollar store brushes, but they don't work well at all, and had to strip the model. And I plan out my whites as well. (Jan Griffiths).

    Hi, I was wondering how you do “rib” lines on the coat of the Breyer, not actual ribs showing throw but like the vertical lines behind the front leg….idk how to explain it very well but some Appaloosa have them if that helps any😂

    Question regarding using water to thin your acrylics... Do you find that using water will lead to cracking or crazing of the paint over time? From what I know, using water to thin in traditional acrylic painting, you can break down the bonds between the binder and pigment, and you get cracking. Perhaps not right away, or even for years, but it can happen. Have you ever used an acrylic medium or extender instead, and if so what was your experience of it? My wheelhouse is flat media painting, so I am just curious... I have a pacer custom I have been playing with as an etchy, but might like to try to whiten up the plastic a bit eventually.

      This is an interesting thought. I am not sure if this effects the longevity of the custom.

    I could really use your help please!
    I just received a Weather Girl (Sunny) model whose tail came broken in the box. I tried to glue its base to the flowy mass with liquid superglue + baking soda and it worked pretty good, the only issue is the crack showing on one side (it did not affect the palomino-back area but the white-tail's only). Would you suggest to give it a little white paint touch up? Or should I leave it like that?
    Best wishes from Italy💕

    • @creativecustomsbynat555
      @creativecustomsbynat555 Před 3 lety +1

      I suggest giving a little touch up, especially if it really bothers you. Just try not to make it too noticeable. You probably already made a decision by now, but I wanted to help if at all possible.

      Roaning is a technic that includes painting on individual hairs. It takes a LONG time but is so worth it when you're finished!
