We hit a tough stretch. And Alvin said he would gift the players. Sure did. He is not going to do it by himself, but he has a intimidation factor. I had always thought of him as being one of the best open ice hitters. His hits hurt and we could match him with some one who will back him. Becomes less of an issue when he is covered. Now we need one more good forward who is not afraid to drop the gloves and can play with size. Maroon is to old and slow. Soucy and Suter get back we can be really good. That Vegas game showed we are a little undersized. Out matched physically to. I say why not sign Comtois? Tocchet kind of guy. Should try to phrase that better. He is a little bigger than Boeser. And still on the market.

I think you guys are both right. I agree with Kyle that last night was both disappointing and embarrassing. How do we let a team that's playing their 4th game in 6 nights out work us like that? This running around in the D-zone like chickens with our heads cut off stuff needs to stop. We were lucky to win vs Ducks and VGK showed why that's not going to cut it vs the top tier teams. But with that being said, I agree with Trevor that it is still really early in the season and not every stretch of games will be our best. I think when we are healthy are clicking down the road we can do better against Vegas.

Let's just chalk the loss up to a bad night in a long season. Hopefully the zadorov addition will hold us together on the back end until Soucy gets back and we can go on a hot streak again...

November was sluggish
Clearly the Canucks have run into injury problems as well as a team thinking problem. Clearly Petey has some sort of groin injury and he doesn't seem to be able to play through it as he tends to not move his feet and he just gets checked off the puck. Same thing with PDG. That spells nothing for the the top two lines. Scoring has really dried up as a result of two ineffective top two lines. They need to sit Petey out until he gets health, and now is the time since Nikita may give them a big defensive boost. It would be easier if Suter was back but they can't afford to keep this charade going, it will fuck them up for the playoffs. I haven't liked Demko''s game lately he has taken a step back like last year when he was injured. Bring in Desmith he has been more steady. The thinking has this team allowing a lot of cross seam passes getting through and that has hurt their goals against..
