Matahi is almost always the standout surfer at teahupo. His barrels are to biggest, deepest, and most critical. Someone like that could easily be focused on his own waves be he always seems to be genuinely stoked for the other people in the water and happy that they got their bombs. The guy is a legend.

Really good video ,excellent surfing!!All the natives their surf Teahupoo the best,they flow with the water verses, try to shred , white foreigner style!!I only wanna watch the native's surf, they get all crowded out with foreigners, they get foreigners all in their way, when the waves come up!!Just like Hawaii the foreigners , colonize here, and get in everyone's way, super good video!!!

Not to name drop (but screw it)…I’m friends with the sitar player. He skates and we talked online about some of his side project music. We ended up bonding over the skate thing (first time I heard Thievery was on an old Autobahn Wheels part in an old Arcade Skateboards video). He got me backstage at a show and we kicked it all night. Hang loose 🤙
All the local guys look so relaxed ar the take off, even when it's big....how great is it that every wave you catch in your backyard break is a wave of a lifetime....over and over and over....🤙🤙🤙🤙

Combien de Drollet vont encore hanter le bout de la route , de Manoa a Mahati ,de regular a goofy ,chacun dans son style ils rendent
possible l'impossible , le gène de la fluidité et de la décontraction semble se propager dans leur mouvement, et nous les spectateurs jouissons de ce spectacle rare de la symbiose entre un animal et son élément , les Drollet sont les Slater de cette environnement , ils sont les scribes qui déchiffrent les lignes que ce cette passe nous raconte, si Teahuppoo était un musée les Drollet seraient leur curateurs et historiens avec leur découvreurs Vetea David et leur gardien Raimana Van bastolaer
