The most underrated ''soulslike'': Mortal Shell

- Ther have been many soulslikes I've went through this year. The most recent ''big ones'' have been Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen -- and I've thoroughly enjoyed both of them.
While searching for another terrible soulslike to talk about, I've come across Mortal Shell -- at a first glance it really didn't seem like the kind of game I'd get hooked too. My soulsborne ''journey'' has started with Dark Souls 3, went to Elden Ring, then Sekiro, Dark Souls 1, 2, and lastly Bloodborne (I've yet to finish Demon Souls) -- so I think its pretty clear I'll enjoy the faster paced combat that's found in DS3/ER, rather than something slower, like DS1/2 -- that said, I still love both DS1 and 2, so maybe Mortal Shell could also be something I enjoy, despite it looking so slow and janky. Turns out it was worth a shot, as I've ended up having a genuinely great experience playing this.
I want to make it clear -- you should temper your expectations if you want to try this out. Instead of lookin' at it like it was a 5* restaurant, think about a decent fast food place instead. Your experience might be short with some
hiccups here and there, but damn it, you're gonna feel good afterwards and still crave more. At least that's how I feel with Mortal Shell -- hence why I even bothered doing the no shell run. I will one day play the DLC as well and maybe make a video on that too. Depends. Anyhow, thank you for watching the video! - Hry
Its such a unique concept for a game
It's genuinely great and I wouldn't mind having it elsewhere tbh x)
@fermyon it's similar to oddsworld where you possess other aliens
@dylanbroome7915 Never played that but it seems I'll have to try it out!
@fermyon if you like puzzles you'll enjoy it
cool video, I was planning to try it out maybe next month but I think I'll try it out now
I've definitely had my fun with it
Definetly underrated
