THE GOOD OLD DAYS
I can't wait to get my phone soon, with or without extras you buy this is the phone I liked soon as I walked in the store. Not too big, not too small, a key board, a touch pad, stores music, vids and more.
I got this phone today.
It's not too bad. I didn't realize it was a touchscreen either, but when it's open, you can touch more than when it is closed.
When slid up, you can touch the OK button and whatever two are beside it, and then the soft keys.
i love popping the bubble wrap on anything it makes me happy
I just got it yesterday. I am trying it out for a month and comparing it against the Rumor 2 and the Rant from sprint. This phone is really cool actually. The battery life on mine is good. Touch screen works just for certain things as described in the video (calling, menu options). The qwerty keyboard is backlit red, and when you press the Fn (function) key, the alternate symbols for all qwerty keys light up green. I thought that was really neat. Has great zoom for cam. Voice quality is great.
I have this phone and I really dont see why everybody hates it. Its nothing special but it does what it is supposed to do, plus it looks awesome. I never had any problems with it freezing or turning of randomly.
also another feature on this phone is when you turn the lights off the keyboard lights up and when you are using the number entry the numbers light up more than the letters and vise versa with txt entry.

I love this phone! I have had it for almost my two years now and never had one single problem. I don't get how a lot of other people have this phone and hate it becuase of "bugs", or "freezing". I haven't had anything go wrong this whole time. But I guess I got one of the good ones :)
You just helped me make my choice! I also have an Env2 and was thinking of upgrading to this phone but ive heard so many bad things about it that i now have changed my mind.

i have this phone too and i love it!, plus if you tap the camera key on the side it goes to the camera but if you hold it for a second or two it goes to the video recorder and you can still do the whole photo negitive and stuff like that, i would recomend this for somebody that would want a phone for like a year or two, exalent for music and other stuff like that, has somewhat decent ringtones two

You're right. My friend has the Rival and I wanted to get one, too. I'm on sprint, so the Exclaim was the closest thing to the Rival, and I like the Exclaim a lot better.

and wasnt the phone slightly off center, or is that for the keyboard (does it it slide straight out?I don't think it did...)
the rival is a really good fone i just got mine two days ago purple and black and i love it. it's not as bulky as ppl say and it is very small.
You're super excited with that bubble rap. I just upgraded my phone and couldn't decide between that or the env3. Because I'm not the biggest fan of Motorola, I just got the Env 3. Looks a bit like the Nokia 5610, but with a qwerty keyboard on the side.I like the Env3 better but this was definitely cool to see. Kinda weird with the touch keypad!!!
I had one of these things, in the 2 years i had it it broke 4 times, 3 times it just refused to turn on after a black screen and once i went to slide the qwerty keyboard out and the top part with the screen slid right of and started dangling by the cables. It was my first phone and by far the worst one ive ever had.
My brothers kept restarting and the mobile java games music always kept restarting lol back in like 2009

I had this phone when it first come out mine lasted from august 2009 to april 2011 if you take care of something it will last a while
its awesome. i have it no complaints. really long battery lifes, and much more
Waz up, Noah? This is cellphonzrock. I heard a lot of your PhoneDog phone videos like the Backflip, LG enV 3, LG enV 2, LG enV Touch (my phone), Samsung Comeback, Samsung Rogue, Motorola Rival, Pantech Impact, HTC Touch Pro 2, and the LG Neon (my cousin's phone). ;) You're cool!
I've had the same debate with myself for a while now because I'm a heavy texter. I've decided to get the rival because it is smaller than the others, has a better texting layout (IM style and sorting by contacts), it has a touch screen for number dialing, and has only a slightly worse camera than the env 3and the same camera as the alias 2. It's also $30 cheaper than the env 3 and $100 cheaper than the alias 2. Personaly, I'm going with the rival. Hope this helped.
If the screen keeps flickering and restarting which is one of the most common issues, just factory reset and its new again... sometimes the problems are with the software messing up the phone
Ive had this phone for quite a while and i love it, i like the keyboard the touchscreen works well, holds up good, ive also found out when sending text message or just in the menu you can press the red ok button on the screen and that is also touch too, anyway i love the phone and would recommend it to anyone. 5/5 stars from me
I will be getting this in December when its time for an upgrade.
Unless there is an upgraded model by then.

I dont think so, But you can use a micro sd on this up to 8 Gbs.

definately rival. i have it. the screens bigger and its touch to dial or go through contacts.
just got it today..so far its awesome. i dont think you mentioned theres also video on it to.
only negative is every so often it'll freeze for about a second.

I used to have this phone. The only thing I didn't like about this phone is that when I was on a phone call I kept muting myself as my cheek hit the buttons. I now have an iPhone and don't have that problem. I think for a teenager or a preteen this phone would be great,

This was also my very first phone. Lasted for barely 2 years. The buttons stopped working after 2 years.

i had this phone and i could say i was attached to it , considering that it was my first phone but after like 8 weeks the phone was " water damage" and i never took it near a pool nor a bath tub.
so i got an replacement for the intensity 2 and i like its better than the rival

no,thats not true,just dont be destructive with the phone (obviously) its not that sensitive at all,very nice phone,every verizon i went to so far said its highly recommended and a great phone and also its doing great so far,and i recommend it
i wish i could get this phone! but i just got the voyager alittle before christmas so i wont be getting a new phone for a long time...

the first one i got all the buttons in front stopped working. this morning i slid the one i just got open very lightly and it split in half. its a wonder that it still works.

freaking awesome and great for txting thats why i got the connect plan because it had unlimted txting and since it was my first time ever haveing a txting phone i started txting like crazy too :D
i recommend you getthis phone,gets nice,simple,offers a nice (but somewhat) of a touch-screenfeature,a nice keyboard,very good phone i like it,i give it4/5

That was another reason why I got the rival. Its new.
well the env touch i would guess is better than the voyager for sure, but i hated the touch screen and i'm not a touch screen fan so if you like touch screens i'm guessing you'd like the env touch, but go to a verizon store and try out one and see if you like it or not and compare them both

I can not choose between this phone and the alias 2. But my biggest turnoffs on phones are pocket dialing and the camara not having a flash
@Cookycow a lot of people complain about this phone it only got 3 stars thats really bad and most of ur are not 16 and were not spoiled u probably are tho.And i dont drop my phone i even brought it to Verizon and they had to keep giving my replacements because my phone was broken and they gave me one replacement and i took the battery out as soon as i got in the car and something inside the phone was broken and i had just gotten it so dont tell people what they have done and what they have not
NO!!! i had this phone for two months and i was gentl with it and it broke. they sent me another one but shortly after the battery messed up and i had to buy a battery. and also the keys on the keyboard are hard to push sometimes because they are so small!!
i've had mine for 3 years and i'm finally getting an issue with the screen, it doesn't illuminate, the touch screen buttons still work but you cant see anything, and on the odd chance it works for about an hour, the bottom left side of the screen is dark... never dropped it...
u should do like alias 2 vs env 3 or the rival or somthing like that
no one said you have to buy, so they have the same price does it really matter?
the sentences you use for the messaging is in microtype media for schools. i had to do it for highschool for computer apps.
