Instead of clipper over comb, I take a guard and go with the grain in order to reduce the bulk on the hair line but which number guard would you recommend David? Appreciate it.
any guard that’s big and if it doesn’t knock enough bulk use a lesser one

I got a low taper I kinda like the mid a little better cuz there’s less hair on the sides
A lot of my clients like the mid taper just because they last a little longer than the low taper.

For this look you do need straight hair you can always get a mid taper with any texture of hair.

@@ElTejano98 solution could be going "buzzcut " 2-3 guard , to have 2-3 guard hairline w the taper , like thesneako type buzzcut, tho his hairline be tweakin too depending how light hits his forehead.

No it’s not. All you need is a clipper and trimmer. But you can also get a shaver to give your haircuts a more skin tight look but those will be all you need.

Was up man! Just tell your barber you don’t want the back flat he can clipper over comb so the back can keep its shape. if you go to 14:20 on the video I explain what to ask your barber for this specific haircut. I hope this helps.

Depending on how long you want the top most of my clients usually leave it 1 inch long enough for them to be able to style there hair. And you can just get a mid taper.

Try adding products to help your hair lay down you can you the texture powder pomade or gel depending on how you want your hair to look like. Sometimes it will be shinny or a Matt look based on the product. But try adding one of these products and comb it down to train your hair to lay down naturally

3inches would look good still just depends on how you like it you can always start with 3 inches and cut it down if it looks to long

Ask your barber for 2.5 inches long on the top 1 inch Long on the sides and a mid taper without the edges lined up.
