  • The healthcare-delivery scene in rural developing world is unimaginable sitting in the big cities. Most of the people go to a ‘person who is not a doctor,’ when they are sick. They go to the trusted pharmacy owner around the corner, as often the nearest healthcare facility is miles away. Rubayat Khan, a Bangladeshi entrepreneur considers how technology and market mechanisms can help bridge these health care gaps tapping into unique alternatives.

I have a few questions about this project.
    1) How do you ensure that the drugs given out are safe and appropriate? What safeguards have you taken?
    2) Doctors have to answer to a board of ethics or a disciplinary committee. Who do the village medics answer to? How do you ensure that they don't repeat mistakes and misdiagnoses?
    3) How do you ensure that the medics are reporting symptoms correctly? E.g. is the medic able to spot tonsil inflammation correctly?

Is there a way I can get in contact with Rubayat Khan? I'm working on a presentation about the pros and cons of Telepsychiatry.
