    Of all the ransoms vids I’ve looked up on the internet for quick and similar anwser, ur vids was actually the first that didn’t add any nonsense and straight to the point and u even educated me about LED bulbs becuZ I’m thinking about buys a 60 W LED bulb for the kitchen and idk if it will handle it or not but Ik LED uses less electricity but I didn’t know if it was okay to use a 100W for a 75w max light fixture L0L

    Hi.. I want to fit a 50 watt LED bulb to 35 watts Socket to illuminatine more light. I get that it’s okay to use it from this video and info in the video is very helpful… but How to check the actual wattage use of 50 watts LED bulb

      @sajanas3147. You need not worry, the warning is simply to avoid heat from an incandescent bulb damaging the wiring. Led bulbs are low heat/high lumens output. Unless it's rated specifically for an Led light fixture, you're all good. 👍👍

    A Hunter ceiling fan I just installed says it’s rated for 7 watts (super weak). If I put a 8 or 10 watt bulb, is that dangerous?

    • @LastSifu
      @LastSifu Před rokem +1

      @@steve4321able Yeah, I guess I already knew the answer to that. I was just hoping maybe an 8 watt bulb wouldn’t create too much heat, but it’s not worth any potential hazards. I have the brightest bulbs possible at 7W and they just don’t light the room up enough so I’ll have to supplement with lamps. Most people replace main light fixtures when buying fans, so you’d think they would make the lights adequate to fill the space. Huge flaw in this and many other fans like it.

      @@steve4321able The fan itself is amazing, completely silent, strong air velocity, and sleek looking. If they could’ve just included decent lighting it would be perfect. Anyway, thanks, man.

      I’m sure it could even handle 40 watt incandescent bulbs. Manufacturers falsely lists stuff sometimes on products. I seen a label that said: use a “max” 13 watt CFL bulb or a “max” 9 watt LED bulb on many lamps when it says you can use a 60 watt incandescent bulb. It’s really stupid when they list things like this. You could install a 60 watt CFL or LED bulb in a socket that can handle a 60 watt incandescent light bulb.

      @@steve4321able how about a LED bulb that is rated at 6.5 watts in a socket that say for 40W bulb but gives the brightness of lets say 100W incandescent light bulb

      The rating is probably based on how safely the wires inside the fixture can heat up while being left on for several hours without any any cooling airflow. If you plan on always using the light with the fan on and for only a couple hours at a time, I believe you can safely go over the fixture's rated wattage slightly.

    What they aren't telling people is that LED lighting is very bad for your eyes. The following is a small clip from an article.
    Chronic exposure to LED lights can speed up the ageing of retinal tissue, leading to a decline in visual acuity and an increased risk of eye diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD).Aug 12, 2021
