'The Wild Boys' is the twelfth single by Duran Duran, released in October 1984 as the only studio track from the band's live album 'Arena'. The song, which was produced by Nile Rodgers, was originally intended for inclusion on the soundtrack of a movie adaption of the 1971 novel 'The Wild Boys: A Book of the Dead' by William S. Burroughs. While the movie was never made, the extravagant music video for the song 'The Wild Boys' cost over one million pounds to make, a staggering sum for music videos at the time.
