This is as big as it gets - we get hands-on with a micro LED, 292 inch Samsung Television, called "the Wall". This is the new 2020 version of Samsung's "the wall", and while absurdly expensive, it's fully scalable - so it can potentially get even bigger. Found this year at CES 2020.

Why the 75” look like a 40”
My thoughts too
Because of the 292"
Shrinkage. It's cold in that booth.
Was also wondering, that is in no way 75inches.
Because the guy is 12 feet tal :P
after watching this 292'' tv. the 74'' tv looks smaller then my 24'' gaming monitor.
Bu Sa that’s what I thought until 1:53
@@cman1279 those guys are so tiny.
i got a 70" and unless this guy is huge theres no way the last few are 74" and 90 whatever he said
@@Punktastic67 😂😂
@@Punktastic67 yeah I was looking for this comment, I think he mixed up the sizes. Those last two TV's he showed were too small to be what he said they were.
Nobody:
Marques: So for the last year my wall has actually been a big samsung tv with a picture of a wall on it.
I don't get these nobody jokes.. Maybe it's because I'm over 30.
Alexander Mooij you just an oldhead then.
@@amooij nobody asks but some people still brag about it, to make themselves feel good.
@@amooij the joke is that this tech CZcamsr named marques brownlee gets stuff way before they're released or even announced. Like for example he gets the new iPhone weeks before it's released so he can test it out.

2:11 "everything on the microled just pops"
Some guy in the background: popping some bubble wrapping
Next all we need is a folding TV so we can fit it through the door and make it more portable.
Oh Lg has that already lol
@Perverted Alchemist Good.
This is made of modules so it already takes apart for transportation.
You missed what's really cool about these TV's. They come in squares you put together to make them any size you want. I want a 130 inch one to replace my projector screen. That would be home theater heaven.
It is a combination of 4 screens to make a larger screen. I'm pretty sure those 4 screens can fit through your door one at a time.
at 3:09 it legit looked like a window with 3d view of the outside. the bezel-less design is awesome.
This should be known as "the wallet eraser"
my eyes almost filled with tears, just because I imagined some kid accidentally throws a ball on it ):
🤣🤣
Youll have a instint stroke from that
You just have to change one module
Underrated comment
Percentage ok kids playing in front of super expensive tech is very small. You just dont have that tech
Micro LED looks so amazing!
My 12 year old Aquos is literally crying, now.
I will settle with the new Samsung spinning tv lol
But Samsung only last over 4 years if your lucky.
@@paulb4uk how can someone be this dumb.....😂😂😂

movie theaters should have this
Hahaha
Seriously.
Samsung should do a demo where they mount these on every wall and floor in a relativlty small room, so you are englufed in the screens. It would be intresting to see how you can effect the perception of how large the room is by what you project on the microled panels
I want a whole bedroom set up every wall and the ceiling with those TV screens. Just emagine the mood ambiance you could set for romantic setting or even just to relax and sleep in the middle of a forest. Or even just have a theme room for the eccentric like a castle with fantasy creatures wondering about.
Finally get to see the Tv Barney had on how I met your mother!
Is this Barney’s TV from ‘How I Met Your Mother’ 🤣
That's exactly what I was thinking
CES 2018: MicroLED is the future!
CES 2019: MicroLED is the future!
CES 2020: MicroLED is the future!
And the lies that it will be available at a decent price in the next 2 years or so
To be fair, OLED was hyped up for 10 years before it actually launched .... sooo we got about 7 more CES's to go before we cant afford it for another 10 ^_^
Future is not 1 year
I wonder what CES 2021 will be like
SkinnyThicc Legend where could i buy them I’m a billionaire
3:10 - That picture (with the tree) is stunning.
IMAX movies FTW ♥️ Imagine watching Interstellar on that thing. I wonder if IMAX is gonna go with these instead of their proprietary projectors, in the future.
Im here because Interstellar TV. The projector still the best in conttolled room because is not reflective as the TV when dozens people watching
There is Onyx, the bigger version for cinemas. I have seen one in Zurich (switzerland), pretty impressive.
The Film technology will always be superior to digital pixels. IMX will never do something like that.
@@sudhar1998 Why? The film technology only reach 50 nits, Onyx is 500 nits and this can maybe reach 2000-10,000 nits. It's really bright.
@@johntheux9238 But in a theater, the lights are all out. So how bright does the screen really need to be?
(I'm seriously asking. I'm not an expert on this stuff. But I thought the advantage of a bright display is to see better in a bright room or outdoors in the daytime.)
I'm still amazed by my OLED panel. Consumer Electronic Technology is advancing too fast. The latest isn't always the greatest.
This is Barney stinson's TV in HIMYM🤣
My thought exactly 😂
Yup. I need this.
The full sized 200" one.
Have no idea where I'll put it, but I want it.
Finally, micro LED has the brightness that the OLED has been unable to do (outdoor scenes always looked like a cloudy day), as well as the darkness.
Even if I had the money I think I’d prefer a projector for a home theatre. For a fully immersive experience you’d want to have a screen that fills the wall top to bottom and left to right of the theatre room. However you can’t do that with this as it would leave no room for the speakers, the best screens for use with a projector allow for speakers to be placed behind the screen. So you can have a wall of both screen and speakers, can’t do that with this.
Checks bank accountant: $700
Me: hmmm I'll wait till it drops in price.
good idea
700,000?
@Santa Imposter Buy Tesla stock and buy Tesla car using the gain from Tesla stock. Perfect !
What
Or wait someone drop their TV.
You can go wherever you want in the world with that TV. You have to play videos with beautiful beaches or landmarks and looks like you are on that place, you can sunbathe on the beach ot watch sunset etc. Super nice
Adult: Giant tv.
Toddler: imma throw a toy at it.
I want it just so I can tell my english teacher from middle school that i’m living in Fahrenheit 451
It feels like a Microsoft hololense walkthrough video.
Love you david!! You doing an amazing job!
imagine a whole room with this. Using the TV as wall paint or moving wallpaper. and the ability to make any area of the room a monitor.
75 inch is now small...
@Shaw Farrow sorry to hear that.. damn, even my monitor is larger than that even though it’s only 1440p
I’m waiting for micro led to upgrade, OLED looks good but I use my pc on it a lot and don’t want burn-in
There is new tech that Samsung is working on that’s basically a hybrid OLED/QLED display
Then why did you buy it when you know it will burn in? 4K resolution is more than enough.
Thanks for the video! Loveeeed it!
Would have been cool to get info on how many modules made up the 292 inch screen and specs on each module in pixles
Title: "Samsung's 742 centimeter MASSIVE TV: The Wall is back!"
Damn even that 75" one looks so much brighter. I think Micro-LED is the next evolution to OLED. The only issue with OLED currently apart from burn-in is the TVs cannot get bright enough. This seems to hit amazing peak brightness without sacrificing blacks. I'm assuming this will be 'affordable' in 2030 probably but still great glimpse into the future.
2045
Keep the new comin boys
Samsung: *makes biggest tv in the world*
Dads: hold my football game.
To be honest, the big wall is really cool, but realistically, most of us consumers will just have the "little" ones in our home. I was really happy to see that 75" one!
As soon as average consumers find the same price available on an 85 inch then it scales to lower prices on a 95 you will just get the same thing. I go with Lazer projectors personally I like more than 100"
@@NapoleonDynamite69 That is indeed a very good solution! 👍🏼
@@DBLCreations you'd be surprised how satisfying it is to come up with a unique budget friendly home theatre. I've seen some Craigslist budget 150" projectors put out great quality, diy home theatres for really a few hundred bucks. Plenty of room to negotiate with rich folk who don't have time for their stuff anymore. Always worth a look and is always an addition too a tv too, can have a roll down screen. Etc.
The question is how to bring this TV inside the home? 🤣🤣🤣

Barney Stinson called. He wants his wall back.
I swear to god I had a friend's dad who had a TV like this, thing was so big you could see the pixels from a mile away.
the lack of bezel makes it looks like a projector screen that is super high in resolution
0:45 lmao the rock
64K Resoultion - Are you kidding me
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They've skipped 8k, 16k, and 32k technology lol
Cannot wait for this already
I emailed a "The Wall" rep from Samsung Singapore. The 8K 292" is over $1 million USD not including installation. The smaller 4K 146" is $400K USD. Plus, it draws over 10,000 watts of power. Only 4 people in the entire US has the 4K wall in their home.
I am pretty sure this won’t fit in my apartment
Rahul Krishna I think my apartment would fit in this.
I love the new tech of micro led. That means the price of Qled tv’s will start to drop lol
the wave and the truck were terrifying
This would be great for bars/restaurants, they could use it as four tvs normally but for a big game one giant tv.

@@5part4 man they should be able to at least put 10 HDMI on that TV so big
But what does the smallest version “cost” (I feel like there is probably no MSRP just a per basis quote)
I havent seen prices for the microLED type module but there are places where one can purchase these kind of modules from Samsung. The cheapest one ive seen were priced at around 800 usd and I think you would need at least 12 of them to get a 200 inch screen in 1080p.
In Indian National Rupees it's 12 crore rupees.. 120 million rupees.. Now convert it into your respective country's currency..
@Oliveira A. Who would deliver it though if it ever comes online?
@@yourfriendlyneighbourhoodfatso it won't come like this, it's a modular TV, it's made up from a bunch of modules, you can make it any shape you want or size, it's going to be a huge box but it won't be a literal wall to transport. It will be like buying a lot of 30 inch TVs
'the thing that strikes me is the incredible brightness of the screen'
Me watching from my phone: yeah that's bright
Finally, a TV that can show the whole Reeses logo
This is some Fahrenheit 451 shiz.

That's the idea, one module broken you replace just this one, well if you kid don't throw a piano lol
Akikaze are u sure that that’s how it works?? Cause how would they price the TV if it’s based on modules not size
@@cman1279 yeah that's almost the entire pitch behind the microled technology, modularity. You could look at CNET video on the wall too, they explain it better than this video.
I would throw the kid into the TV..TV industry.
I remember the in the 90's going to a friends house and seeing them with a 50 some inch TV that weighed almost a ton and being amazed lol. I remember in the mid 2000's not even taking one someone offered to give me for free. These days you can get a big screen for cheap and a 100th of the weight lol. Maybe a few years down the road, TV's this size will be pretty affordable, problem will be having the space for it and how you would even get it through your door.
They are made of modules that you connect.

Great presentation. Samsung leads innovation.
It's basically a cinema screen without a projector
To put it into perspective, a ~120in TV is about $500.000 USD. So that 290in is probably close to $1m USD. Probably less just because it may scale less after you hit 120in+.
