    I love the sound 110% however, like you said...the neighbours would hate me! The guilt would eat me alive and make me regretful each and every early morning startup. I would love to sound like your setup! Just know I can't take on the neighbourhood!

    • @hardluckmotorcycle5265
      @hardluckmotorcycle5265  Před 3 lety +3

      I was a little worried about that too as I leave for work before 5am and thought I might wake the entire neighborhood! But by taking it easy (I try to keep it under 2500-3000 rpm in the morning leaving the neighborhood), it really isn't much louder than any other motorcycles you hear coming and going. It only gets crazy loud when you give your wrist a little twist lol, but so far I haven't had any complaints from neighbors and waking them up in the morning going to work. So I wouldn't be to worried about this setup being obnoxious as long as you take it easy until out of the neighborhood! Really couldn't ask for a better sounding setup, it isn't annoying loud when taking it easy or cruising at high speeds (55-80 mph) but give it a little gas and it immediately wakes up and alerts anyone near you that you are there!

But...Yup!!!...I don't have the discipline to NOT twist! ...lol

    Thanks for this video brother, I am running Tab's with zombies along with the stock cat right now and love the sound. But next summer I am going to get that cat delete and switch out the zombies for the 2.5 baffles. I have watched Tab's video's with audiophile headphones but hearing your thoughts really helped a ton. Take care and stay safe

      Thank you for the great feedback! I have been running this setup now for about 12-13,000 miles and LOVE it!!! I ended up NOT changing out the baffles for the 2.5 inch ones because I LOVE the sound and get a lot of compliments on it! This setup might still be a little to loud for some people so you can definitely tweak it until get what you want from the volume but I found out that it does NOT need any more back pressure with this 2-1-2 setup! Please subscribe if you haven't and keep watching for more of my videos, I appreciate it!

      I have now been running this setup for about 12-13,000 miles and LOVE IT! I did try using TAB's Zombie Rings and Torque Cones, it was horrible! The Challenger with TAB's 2-1-2 CAT Delete does NOT need any extra back pressure with the Zombie setup, I think that if you do their 2-1 CAT Delete then you will want a little extra back pressure. But when I added the Z-Rings and Torque cones, it sounded Terrible and even worse, it ran terrible!!! I immediately took them out after I got back from a 400 mile trip with that setup and as soon as I took those out, my bike went back to sounding great and running great!

    • @hardluckmotorcycle5265
      @hardluckmotorcycle5265  Před 3 lety +6

      Hey Joe, yep the Challenger is incredible but definitely needed to be opened up more than the stock exhaust. I absolutely love the TAB zombie exhaust and by adding the CAT 2-1-2 it is very aggressive and sounds awesome! I think that combo is right on the edge of loud when you want it, but not to loud where it becomes annoying to ride on long trips. I had the stage 1 done on my Challenger with the air intake, the TAB Zombie exhaust, and the flash tune from the Indian dealer. Even after removing the CAT, I was told that it shouldn't need any other tune as the bike will self tune/correct itself to a point. As soon as an actual full tuner is available, I plan on bringing it in for a professional dyno tune with whatever tuner comes out for it to not only get the most performance out of the bike, but to make sure that it tuned properly and not running lean or rich. Thank you for watching! Please subscribe and stay tuned for more videos coming out soon!

    Love the bike. Love the exhaust set up. I want to add the speaker package when I get my bike. My question is how does your stereo system sound with the new pipes and cat delete? Are you able to hear the music over the pipes?

    • @hardluckmotorcycle5265
      @hardluckmotorcycle5265  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you for watching! So with the TAB Performance CAT 2-1-2 Delete and the Zombie exhaust, it is loud especially when you get on it. But that said, even when cruising at 80 mph, I still don't have a problem hearing my music, with the Indian upgraded speakers I can put it on setting 8 out of 11 and be jamming to music down the highway. If it is really windy and going fast, say 80+mph then sometimes it can be harder to hear the music but rarely do I ever wish music was louder. Hope that helps!

      Hi Jeffrey! I have the 8" Klock Werks windshield. I'm 6' tall and with it completely lowered, the wind hits my forehead and raised up wind goes over the top of my helmet so it is very stable with little to no wind bouncing my head at speed. The TAB CAT delete pipe does not require any flash update outside of the normal stage one exhaust Indian flash tune, this came directly from TAB Performance. Hope this information helps! Got to test ride the challenger at thunder beach. I liked the bike very comfortable. For some reason I thought it would be faster. But I ride ultra limited stage 2 with full exhaust and auto tune. The fairing takes getting used to. Also rode the roadmaster limited. What tuner are you running if any. I noticed both Indians ran fine until you hit 70+ then they felt out of tune. But it was hot that day too. My ultra ran crappy stock as well.

    • @hardluckmotorcycle5265
      @hardluckmotorcycle5265  Před 3 lety +3

      I currently do not have any tune on my Challenger and it has always ran perfect. I put on about 16,000 miles last year (2020) between April and October, including 3 Iron Butt rides (over 1,000 miles in less than 24 hours) and a 5,000 mile trip across the country in 11 days. I have done these extreme rides in a wide range of weather including an Iron Butt while it was nearly 100 degrees and another Iron Butt at below freezing temps! In my experience, it seems like a lot of issues with the Challengers were due to poorly tuned/synced throttle bodies. My throttle bodies were perfectly matched and I have experienced no issues at all with how it runs or performance in over 17,000 miles now! Thank you! I'm loving my Challenger and definitely love the TAB Zombies with the TAB Cat Delete 2-1-2 system, it sounds incredible and I have got a lot of compliments on how it sounds! My helmet is a Ruroc 2.0 and I LOVE it! It is carbon fiber so extremely light, has a built in bluetooth audio system in it, and is the most comfortable full face helmet I have ever owned! I'm not sure if I will upgrade my bars because I find the stock bars extremely comfortable, so if I do end up getting different bars at some point, they will probably be similar size and location as I personally don't find the raised bars comfortable for long rides that I love doing like these Iron Butt challenges, etc.

    What differences are there between the 2-1-2 and the 2-1, sound and performance?

    • @hardluckmotorcycle5265
      @hardluckmotorcycle5265  Před 3 lety +2

      I do know that the TAB Performance 2-1 with the zombies lost a little power due to not enough back pressure (based on a friend doing that and getting a dyno before and after). As for sound, I think they are both comparable, the 2-1 could have been a tad louder but it is difficult to say. Side by side they were extremely similar. My friend ended up not wanting his bike as loud and wanted to get some of his back pressure so he had to change baffles in his 2-1 and he has since then changed to a completely different exhaust. I still love my TAB 2-1-2 CAT delete with Zombies and constantly get compliments from people about how great it sounds in person from bystanders and people riding with me. I have no complaints about my setup and think it has the perfect balance of loud, deep, raspy chaos when get on the gas, but it also doesn't drone and isn't annoying loud when cruising long miles even at high speeds. Thank you for watching my videos, I hope this helps answer your questions! Please subscribe and stay tuned, I'm working on new videos!
