I'm Darkveon. I make Undertale, Deltarune videos with a style similar to Smallant, Pointcrow, Alpharad, Cjya and Fir. Fun Fact: You can spare Toriel by purposefully missing your attacks. Doing so still increases the spare counter. As for Papyrus, it’s well known that you can skip him by losing to him three times.

Furthermore this actually takes less time than beating him - speedrunners always do it.
You didn't need to skip paps: get captured by him 3 times and he will give you the option to skip him, I forget if it was the option your cursor's on or not.
The option for fight papyrus is automatically on yes.

@@Bro-cx2jc he would have to move right to not fight papyrus, therefore not doing the bare minimum, he states this in the vid itself, I went against my rules. He can only use the default text option, and the option for fight pap is automatically on yes, challenge is not doable.

Because I have a solution for this: attempt this challenge on your SECOND neutral run.
Flowey won’t fight you there because he knows the souls would turn against him just like in the first neutral run, making Asgore to be the last boss instead.
If you get caught by papyrus more than 3 times he'll just give up

No matter what you try, you have to fight one of these two. Omega blocks Neutral and Pacifist, and you can't do True Pacifist without beating him

Omega Flowey only fights you on the first neutral run. Finish another neutral run and Flowey would skip the fight completely due to the fact of him realizing that the human souls turning against him against if he do so.
So yeah… this challenge is possible, on the second neutral run.

Well, here’s what I want to do: watch the whole video Short again, and answer my question: when in the video he ever said that it’s against the rules? Hmph??
Spoiler! He never did. There isn’t a rule that prevents you from doing just that.
In fact, a few years back, someone made a challenge similar to this one, where you are forbidden from moving your soul during fights. The difference was that the video wasn’t a wimpy ass CZcams Shorts! Instead, it was a proper regular video with enough length to explain the rules, obstacles, strategies, and if the challenge is even possible to beat.
At the end of the video he mentions Omega Flowey and the fact that you can only fight him on the first neutral run, and that this challenge is possible to complete on the SECOND+ neutral runs, and it does in fact count.

Firstly: huh. That’s odd… I could have sworn I made it clear that the first neutral does NOT count… oh yeah! I did! On my first comment!
And I also said it’s not against the rules to do, so let go of it already!
By the by, the fact that you’ve made another argument after this just proves that it was pointless so XP
Secondly: I don’t understand what was your second argument but I am pretty sure that a challenge called “no item” challenge means not USING an item. You can get them, you can drop them, you can check them, you can sell them, you can store them in a box, anything but using them. Though I haven’t checked if it’s possible for Undertale yet…
Thirdly: not moving challenge in Undertale means not dodging enemies attacking in battle. Since you have to move on the overworld and you basically do move your soul on your menu, the only condition left is not moving your soul during battle on enemy’s turn, also known as “not dodging”.
And if you have watched Skip the tutorial’s video you’ll already know that it is possible to not move your soul in the square/rectangle shaped gauntlet except the end of Asgore battle where you have to choose if to FIGHT or MERCY. But at least no dodging is possible!
My question is: why didn’t you use that as your argument? Hehehe! You have missed your chance! I have defeated myself in this argument for you! XD

Actually, in the undyne fight when green soul, you don't actually move, you just block her attacks, moving the spear to block them, but your soul doesn't move.
You aren’t softlocked. You can just die to papyrus like 3 or 4 times and he lets you skip him.
I think by bare minimun he means also choosing the 1st option, which is probably to keep fighting papyrus

Doing the bare minimum entails choosing the run option to get out of fights, not Doing anything beyond the minimum like throwing an attack, holding a brief conversation or using items.
I find it profoundly confusing to see someone seeing the genocide run and Doing the bare minimum as the exact same thing. 🤷♂️
Funny how Arabic youtuber zaid gaming did a similar challenge when in battle the soul doesn't move yet he got the natural ending without grinding monsters
