- One of my favorite scenes from Nicolas Winding Refn's "Too Old To Die Young" s1e02.
Song: Until She's Destroyed
Composer: Cliff Martinez
Brilliant cinematography and musical composition here. - Hry
I think this episode is the best episode in the series
Jackccc I think this is the second worst episode in the series. My favorite is episode 5.
You're opinion but you seen episode 5
For me it’s epsiode 8>7>6>5>2> the rest
This is the worst
"Dont try to understand it, just feel it"
Applies to Refn much more than it ever did to Nolan
Has everything I want from Nicolas Winding Refn: Neon drenched cinematography, an electronic synth soundtrack by Cliff Martinez, and zero to none talking. The most visually striking experiences I have had watching a series!!!
thefilmfanatic23 everything’s just... cool 😎
Episode 6 was the best. True refn for me
And so much room for interpretation love it
Can't get more Refn than this.
This series is profoundly beautiful. Refn and Martinez are an unbeatable combination.
Dude I remember waking up to this playing because I forgot to turn off the music before I went to bed and now I just love this😂
So glad that I started watching this episode at the late night of summer. At the end of the dialog of jesus and yaritza the sun hit my windows, and then plashes of sunlight started playing all over my room exectly on timing with club scene... Oh, man that music hit me so hard....
Thats literally the exact same way i experienced this episode too haha wtf.
This show was amazing. I am going to watch it again real soon.
Best series ever made next to Twin Peaks: The Return.
A Masterpiece of visuel effects and stillness.!!
"A clockwork orange" feeling in this scene
0:54 When the guy nods, the beat drops
well noticed !
Now this, this is what you call an intro, a mixture of synth music in the backdrop of surreal neon color noir world symbolize the isolated threatening world.
best series ever ❤️❤️
Yep
This song has a similar sonic quality to Cliff Martinez' Messenger Walks Among Us, and the camera tracking is rather similar to the style used so brilliantly in The Neon Demon.
Yes! Is perfect too!
I'm mesmerized
I like this song. Sounds like Jean Michel Jarre
It was really spot on
Refn is one note at this point
NOOOOOOOOOOO. HOW DARE AMAZON DROP THE SHOW. Season 2 wouldve been amazing...
This is news to me. What a travesty.
Did Nic ever have plans to do a season 2? I assumed the show would only have 1 season anyways. Plus the project drove NWR crazy apparently lol.
Amazon did not want this show from the beginning. After all, they did not even promote it on the internet or on yt. I do not know what Amazon did not like about this series. Perhaps not politically correct enough.
Meldondg Lord Yeh it has some controversial scenes but the thing ain’t real. If you don’t like don’t watch. Makes me wonder why Amazon funded the project in the first place.
I read this TV series were supposed to be just one season. I’m still through chapter 7 and loving it so far.
I feel like Mindhunter, for all its glory, is lacking this level of auteur-ship. sure Fincher is at the top of it but he doesnt actually direct every episode (although i am hyped for the director of chopper, assassination of jesse james and killing them softly doing a couple episodes in season 2), and if he were able to dominate the entire show with his level of craftsmanship i think it could have squared up to the level of mastery and beauty that this show has for me. apart from twin peaks, i cant think of any other show which is this director-focused.
You should check out Mr. Robot if you haven't. Pretty sure after season it's only directed by one person the rest of the series.
@@ColombianThunder ive heard mixed stuff for the latter few seasons. there are too many fukkin shows out there.
@@_Azagoth_ don't listen to those mixed things. I highly recommend you give it a chance. The show gets so much better as it goes along and more creative as well
@@ColombianThunder Fair enough. I highly recommend Peaky Blinders. It may have less appeal, since i dont know if youre a fellow Brit, but its excellently acted and written, got a pretty studded cast, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Sam Neil, with villains such as Adrien Brody, Sam Clafflin, and a great supporting cast of solid lesser known actors.
Juste sublime cette musique ❤
Master classe musicale ❤
Cette musique. Incroyable.!
epic
Hello, what is the name of this type of eloctronic music please? It makes me think of some Gesaffelstein's music, I absolutely love it! Is it trance? Or maybe deep house? I don't know much about electro 😌
Try synthwave.
👌👌👌
Serie incroyable. Dure terrible réel. Justice de femme !
NOW... NE-E-EAL TO IT!!!
Bava BAVA!!
Except the scene is about 3 times as long as this.
@cliffmartinez are u?
Ok i need to know now, what fucking song is this.
Kino?
yes
Watch it like the numbering of the Tarot cards, you will love it even more.
Big track, missing on the ost
On Spotify you can find it.
Une justicière est née !
Ive tried looking up the song everywhere online, but its nowhere, nowhere at all, not even on cliff martinez spotify, or anything. RIP.
DeepFried Wat3rMel0n it’s on all streaming platforms now it’s called “until she’s destroyed”
Track name?
"Until She's Destroyed" by Cliff Martinez
@@jamessparrow I can't find it on Spotify or Amazon Music. Have any links?
@@rohanmiscrits I don't think they actually included this track on the OST album
@@jamessparrow exactly
Gold Snake It has now mysteriously appeared on Spotify. It can still not be found on the album itself but was released as a separate single.
Is it TV… or is it Kino??
It is a one-season drama series with 10 episodes. However, the director has been quoted saying he treated the series as if it was one very long film.
Most psychotic series ever
Hi. Is it legal to post scenes from movies/tv shows on yt? Any Copyright issues? I also want to post something but I'm afraid of copyright. I would not like to have problems with the law and police.
Usually things will just get copyright claimed (as is the case on this video), which I believe means any revenue generated from it goes to the owner of the copyright.
WICKED
Julián Winding?
Could be? Definitely sounds like his style. I couldn't find this particular track in the Milan Records playlist with the show's soundtrack so I'm not sure. I just assumed it was Martinez.
Maybe next album?
@@jamessparrow I believe it is Martinez. Please see my comment regarding Messenger Walks Among Us. THANKS so much for posting this scene!
@@mkmerc4952 Cool thought. Refn released a follow up album to The Neon Demon score called The Wicked Die Young, including songs from trailers (like "Becoming") and one from his nephew Julian ("When You Want to Hurt Someone").
@@reeldeal3227 it's damn near the same song, not complaining
