I laughed every time the electrical car accelerated!
Such a good touch to add that sound
Haha...really
I love how NWR captures the sound of cars in his car chases, gives so much personality to the cars and the people driving them. Drive had great car sounds too.
Seems he has a thing about Mistangs too.
tf is a Mistang?
@@CallMeMrStopmotion a supernatural Mustang
@@hotrodthug I'd love one ngl
well spotted! great comment
0:52 The best line of dialogue
Why is it so funny😭😭
Also good, "how the fuck do you miss?", " I don't know"
Also “Julius Caesar lookin’ mother f-“
Mine was " you usless Julius Caesar looking mother trucker

Someone’s going to make a quick cut compilation of all the scenes Martin spits I’m calling it. I love how every character had their own unique quirk this whole series felt like a 13 hour GTA game playthrough.
Dude! I was thinking about the Gta thing too.
GTA thoughts exactly, with less humor.
damn I was thinking gta too! especially the part where Viggo goes on a killing spree in the trailer park it totally reminded me of the satisfaction of rampaging indiscriminately in GTA
@@mitter352 yes, maybe the point....
@@mitter352 I drool, every kill, shit tho it feelse good,m they deserve it, i drioool
Martin reminds me of Claude from GTA 3. Very calm, cool and collected under pressure; yet wordlessly ruthless. He appears as a "normal" young man, maybe even unremarkable; like a passer-by or strange neighbor you might not particularly notice, remember, or think about. However, as the viewer -- we can see that he emanates a terrible, disconnected coldness with his every action.
Damn, couldn't of worded better myself.
this is what i enjoy about refn protagonists and general! they come across as very benign/docile yet uncanny, because they are hiding a darker nature.
Martin is a psychopath. He was born distorted. He only finds joy in life when he has encounter with murder. The silence and tone of movie represents how bored of life he actually is, not being able to act on his twisted passions. Instead when he experienced chase he felt so overjoyed that it was like "falling in love" thats why there was this out of place song.
Claude didn't sleep with schoolkids......people seem to forget he's one of most vile characters ever written as a lead role.
@@saintniccage2818 at first you think there couldn't possibly be a more perverse, sordid character in the show...then you meet *her dad* .
One of the best scenes ever in this underrated series!
I didn’t love the show, but episode 5 is a masterpiece.
I just loved Teller in this one
NWR bringing serious Drive vibes here.
Almost like it's the same guy
This whole car chase was genius! So fun to watch ♥
This Scene was awesome
Nic Refn could make a comedy and it'd be great. This guy is the next lynch I know it.
It's definitely the only thing on tv that comes close to t.p. s. 3
No one can be the next Lynch.
Don't this dude to Lynch, the only great thing he did was Drive. The rest is all ok stuff with lack of substance.
@@PedroOrdep-kv5vw what about Bronson?
Bronson is great but it ends way too abruptly imo.
Keep rewatching this scene year after year, one of the greatest chase scenes!
"How the fuck do you miss?!"
"I don't know!
And when he fires the buckshot right near his face. "What are you doing?" LOL.
I feel like Refn improved his writing style & characters with TOTDY, he found the right balance between stoic and eccentric character. The eccentric ones came out more natural and there was self awareness of how over top they were.
He also didn't go to distant with Martin's characters unlike he did with Gosling in OGF. He was cold and stoic at the right times and with hints of humor and righteousness he was infinitely more interesting.
He had a co writer.
Ed Brubaker is one of the best.
Miles teller goes hard as fuck
For a show about two witches (brujas) it has a lot of action.
2 brujas? Yaritza and...(?)
@@pauulkubasek1815 Diane. I thought she was just a scam artist in the beginning. She then has a vision of Yaritza and then her eyes go blue, the opposite to Yaritza's red. When she goes to the Trans bruja for help it changes the narrative of the series.
@@user-dq4vt6ox1c ooooohhh right right! Idk i spaced on that :P
Lol you're right. By the way, I love your profile picture
There's a special place in hell for hitmen who drive a Nissan Leaf.
The whole scene Martin looks like he's mildly annoyed.
They really chasing this dude in Prius 😂😂😂😂😂 and actually keeping up 😂😂😂😂
*Nissan Leaf
refn does have his moments, hopefully he will make another good movie
Old vs New
They don't make em like they use to.
Nope. They make them better.

Why did you cut the conversation after they break down?
Probably a copyright thing so the video doesnt get taken down
"Out of juice, man.... out of JUICE"
Go for it
Having driven a 98hp four cylinder Fox body Mustang, I can assure you they are slow as dog shit and would have had a hard time getting away from that Leaf lol
Interesting choice of vehicle to kill someone without killing the ozone lol
Killing a bunch of people in lithium mines would be my guess
same difference
I wanna know how the front windshield on both cars don't even have a scratch
Like how didnt you see that car coming hahaha
Martin with the pit maneuver 👮♂️ 😂
Missing a clip, that was good though.
1:35 Hilarious juxtaposition
Old rumble versus silent torque.
*I drive.*
future is electric ;)
"Oh, Mandy..."
funny scene
Safest Nissan Leaf driver on the road
Looks like new Mexico
If anything I learned from this scene is, how durable and fast a Nissan Versa is. 😅😅😅
Guy had a shotgun go off in front of his face and didn't bleed from the ears.
Proper answer to eco mob fruits.
I've never seen TO OLD TO DIE YOUNG and is this show any good I've heard mixed reviews about it im not even going to finish this clip lol i don't want to see spoilers
It’s a very particular show. Surreal. The biggest hurdle will be how stilted the dialog is and the long takes but it’s extremely entertaining and visually stunning. If it’s your cup of tea you’ll find yourself adoring it by the end.
IT'S THE BEST
IMO it's got so much of Refn's cool that it becomes blah BUT the cinematography is beautiful, hypnotic and menacing.
As a whole, the series could have used more work, but it’s absolutely a must-see if you’re into Refn’s work or arthouse movies/shows.
It was must watch TV up until Martins death.
Too bad there's no night highway chase included
Драма капитализма. Ну как комедия.
Shouldn't have cut out when he spits on him lol
That toy car was fast 🤦♂️
Even entry level electric cars are surprisingly torquy.
Why would they not get out of the car xD
What's the ford model used in this scene?
Isn't that a chrysler laser?
Idk how that foxbody didn't outrun that leaf
what Ford is he driving?
Rusken It might be a Mustang from ‘85
@@JordanoHorcic lol i thought this was a chrysler laser
This really along with the flamboyant detective re-enacting(?)the crucifixion of Christ and the Hermit"scorching"the rv park from the earth are vying for my favorite scene in this whole series. Its odd how such an otherwise horrifying scenario with repugnant people experiencing explosive, emotionally heavy outbursts whilst filled to the brim with the resounding urge for vengeance while trading pot shots at a high rate of speed can be portrayed in a way that makes it comical/fun to watch! Its bits like this that almost, not quite, but ALMOST make up for the sheer DRUDGERY& snobbish waste that(most)of this series turned out to be...
If asthma was a car...
Hi. Is it legal to post scenes from movies/tv shows on yt? Any Copyright issues? I also want to post something but I'm afraid of copyright. I would not like to have problems with the law and police.
The police would never come for something like that.
At worst the video will get taken down and maybe you'll get a copyright strike which could close down your channel if you have too many but you could just make a new account then.
Confirmed. The electric car is shit!
Anyone knows other chases including electric cars? IRobot showed they could be good and Tesla have the performance and range for a high-octane pursuit.
Brothers Grimsby has a chase with a model S I think.
@@hotrodthug
Not much of a chase there.
He shoulda dropped a 302 into that foxbody, tho . . .
Lol not real bud.
of course the foxbody cannot simply out run a nissan leaf, creative choice of cars but even more unrealistic than most car chase vehicle combos
Plot armor
Ep8 😂
@@BobChillison Too Soon.
You’ve obviously never watched the series to call this plot armor… 😂🤣
How in the hell is the leaf that fast. That 85 mustang should have easily dusted the leaf several hundred miles ago
Electric cars get up to speed pretty quickly.
Gabriel Gingras I googled that, it says it’s max speed is 93mph. That’s average speed on the freeway in America
@@tristanaustin82
I'm talking about acceleration. Getting up to speed very rapidly does not relate to top speed.
Gabriel Gingras so if the mustang just kept going at his top speed of 130 assuming its stock the leaf will still gain on him because of his acceleration? Alright fair enough
@@tristanaustin82
There must be two reasons. Even though the Mustang can go faster, it struggles to do so because of the torque curve of its internal combustion engine while the leaf get to its top speed effortlessly making it much quicker to a point they haven't reached because of the reckless driving slowing them down. Cars also tend to lose power over time meaning the old Mustang can't go as fast as when it was new if it's engine wasn't rebuilt. Or I might be overthinking it and it's just for show. My points still stand though.
Психиатрам этот фильм, должен понравиться.
@Vm varga это наука в полном смысле.
@@V.m.varga09 What you say?
@@MrPurplewater почему?
Holy fuck
I know it’s good for being cinematic but he could’ve easily shot the driver the second time they drove along side of him like he did the first time. Then he wouldn’t of had to do pit maneuver or back up and hit them.
Tarantin-esque
AhaahahahahahahAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHH
Sloppy editing. A couple times Julius Cesar here is shooting at nothing at all. But I still love this scene, and consider this episode the lone bright spot in an otherwise wasted series.
