Plot:
Captain Marvel is an extraterrestrial Kree warrior who finds herself caught in the middle of an intergalactic battle between her people and the Skrulls. Living on Earth in 1995, she keeps having recurring memories of another life as U.S. Air Force pilot Carol Danvers. SeaFaring Neptune at the end of captain marvel we did see her move quite fast when moved the skrull ship.
This is one of my favorite scene, her powers made her so strong, she is so awesome when she glows.
People give this movie so much shit. I didn’t watch it because of the reviews from critics and the general public, but I’m glad I recently decided to watch it bc it was pretty good and a lot better than how everyone perceived.
I agree, the timing and pace was perhaps a little odd, but that's just bc of what was going on in the greater mcu at the time. The people who hate it sooo much in my experience are just pissy that there's finally a female superhero that is powerful enough to say, go against Thor or something. When male heros have these sorts of scenes everyone cheers, but with captain marvel there's some people that think it's a "movement" lmao.

Tia Aaron Wanda’s powers are unlocked via the mind stone, then, enhanced by it. Remember marvel always planned to implement the fact that Wanda is a mutant. Mutants take years to control their powers. Carol had years to control her limited power, but then just went crazy with it during her fight with star force. Everyone told me this movie was going to be lame but when I saw it I thought it was great, equal to any of the marvel origin movies. I can only conclude the producers messed up the advertising campaign, presenting her is such a way as to annoy fans. I think if Marvel had introduced her as a supporting character in another movie (like Black Panther) she would have got a much better reception.
Marketing campaign is one of the reason behind its b.o success ,I guess it's mostly by dudebros who got pissed by her one line of diversity and branded ger as hard-core feminist which she isn't at all n social media meme pages jumping into the well to get likes and comments as she was hit topic
Our problem are primarily cause carol Danvers bullies a biker at the start which we expected character development from but it didn't happen
Oh yeah also the movie did a character assination on nick fury.
And that we now how someone way more powerful then thor running around able to yeet any and all bad guys into space.
I think the general summary is that if your critical you won't enjoy the movie but if your out to have fun then you will have fun but don't label a opposing faction mysognistic cause they disagree.

Brolic Dan it fell flat for me because the character wasn’t fleshed out enough for me to care. she overcame people telling her she’s not good enough in the scene prior, but it wasn’t conveyed that this was something that emotionally effected her in the beginning, because it was completely wiped from her memory, and she had no apparent personal motivation for wanting to join Star Force, which is the reason she follows the Kree’s rules. so this moment doesn’t feel urned.
@@thedon7082 I completely understand where you’re coming from but she had to overcome mental and physical problems. At first she had to push through the kree mentally pushing her back and at the same time she had to literally overpower that mental block that was holding her back from her full potential and the fact that she overcame both to save her friends was pretty impressive, but I can see how she didn't go through this same amount of trouble through out the entire film.
Brolic Dan more so, what I’m saying is that what happened in her past needed to be part of her motivation from the beginning. if I were to re-write the film, I would change the amnesia element so that the Kree don’t erase her memory 100%, only partly. she would still remember her time as a pilot and crashing on the lake. the only part that would be erased would be when Mar-Vell told her that the Skrulls were refugees and the Kree were trying to kill them. it would be manipulated so that she thinks the Skrulls attacked her and the Kree saved her. that way, the trust about the Kree/Skrull war would still be a secret, but she she would still have that tragedy she faced in her life as a part of her character, giving her a reason for wanting to prove herself to the Kree. that way, when she overcomes it, I would feel like she went through a full arc. but in the movie, she had no apparent reason for wanting to prove herself to the Kree, so what’s she moving on from in the end? all the amnesia stuff feels meaningless because of this.

Like every second comment is something to the effect of "I feel like I'm the only one who loved this movie", but guess what? Most people liked it. It's no masterpiece sure, but it's a fun movie, and that's all the general movie-going public are looking for. But fragile guys who hate all female-led movies are doing their best to convince everyone that Captain Marvel was hated by everyone (through things like making clickbait videos about how bad it is and repeatedly downvoting it on Rotten Tomatoes before the movie even premiered), when the actual general consensus is that while it's no Ragnarok or Black Panther, it's still a very fun movie in its own right

That's the 616 Marvel. Here is the MCU version. She's powered by the Tesseract. That's how she goes into binary mode. In which she did against Ronan's fleet and guided the Skrulls at the end.
The problem with this movie was, that Carol never got her heroes journey. She only goes from powerful, to super powerful, to extremely super powerful. She has no valley of darkness she has to overcome except "you are too emotional". Watch Thors "are you the god of hammers" scene, where Helya has him at her mercy, gloating over him and you know what I mean: Only if the hero faces adversity, falls HARD and then gets back up stronger and better than before, the superpowered scenes really hit home. Carol only gets the short filcker of past instances where she gets back up again and then pushes the supreme AI around a bit. That is nice, but no replacement for a true heroes journey.
Man, I love the character. But the screenplay really did Bree larson dirty. Still mad about this.

Remember that she was held back by the implant most of the time having her powers and she didn't have the experience that Thor have since he has thousands of years of combat and training, she also have the power to absorb energy and redirect it which means that she can use other characters power against them even Thor's lightning. Thor almost died from a small fraction the star power and since she can absorb power she can just absorb the power of a star making her stronger without any combat skill.

I agree that he can probably beat her but she absorb power, in the comics she has the base power of a star and she can absorb different forms of energy including magic, Dr strange without the infinity stone wouldn't have a chance but if he has it he can see possible futures , but because captain marvel is pure energy and can drain magic and other forms of energy, maybe even the power of the stone he could teleport her to another dimension but I doubt he can hill her

Tbh as I've already divided the whole "powerful" and "strongest" thing...I usually prefer the strong side. Seeing that character develop strength and everything is my favorite and become stronger than before.
The powerful stuff have never really been my favourite...seeing them learning all these things, casting spells all over the place and all.
I mean the "strongest" side is also cool cause you get fight scenes and then doing something with their hands and all...powerful people doing even touch each other cause physically...they arent strong enough they only have their powers.
A nice way to explain it is...look at the fight scene between Wanda and Tabks then the one between Captian Marvel and Thanos haha
