We did this formula about 10 years back but not worth the cost and putting too much load on the roof.
If I get another chance,I will rather install an aluminum frame all over the roof and solar panels which will definitely be economical and productive.
So there will be insulation aswell as free 💡

brother i was thinking the exact same thing. The load is too much on the roof and it will age and maybe strength is compromised. Secondly the solar and aluminium roof is the most sensible alternate. thanks for sharing your experience.
I think a better idea would be to have proper insulating materials covering the insides of the walls and ceilings, and then covering that up with drywall.

Good video but there are some things you didn't clear first where does the water drain off the roof?, is there a slope and outlet for the water to get out?, to make the roof waterproof the parapet walls should also have a water proof layer otherwise the edges will let damp to run down the wall.

It puts too much extra weight on the rooftop , and why not just use white marbles it's also water proof and keep the roof cold ..i am not an engineer, and i am not against thermocoil , thermocoil may be better, but if in future want to build 2nd or 3rd floors ,then thermocoils are wasting of money.
Marbles are expensive I guess. Ain't it?

Actually he is using jumbolon a thermal insulation sheet with a lower thermal conductivity....all of you just don't need to be panic. This is one of the best insulation boar...yes it is expansive but effective. The main problem is the too much weight ...but this can be solved by installing these sheets inside the concrete slab during construction. So that you'll not need to put those extra weights of bricks, soil, etc again on the concrete slab

Seems to be expensive procedure I think costs more than 1lac it is better to white wash the roof with glue added in it and white cement it is also much better to avoid raised temp

Now this is cemented roof. Only prevent from heat but crack can be appeared due to heat. So sepage problem is not resolved in rainy weather.

Whole slab will collapse when it rains. It’s too much weight on the slab and beams. You just need to cover the roof with sheets and grass to keep the temp lower or just paint the roof white.

I applied this same method on top of my house roof back in 1998, after 10 years, I had to replace it due to leakages here and there that caused damp in the rooms below in some parts of the house and walls.

@@maheshkumar45 I had to rip apart whole of the top layers of the roof including the polythene and replaced it with old method of fancy chips granite as before without any heat resistant materials. The damp has gone but the roof remains cold and hot during seasonal changes. I use a/c in summer and heaters in winter that costs me Load of energy bills. I have found no permanent solution yet apart from building another floor on top of the roofs.
