O is actually designed to be yes and X is no. the western market swapped them for whatever reason. obviously an X means No and a O means yes, that’s how it was logically designed and that’s how it is on japanese consoles.
I bought mine on China and that was the buttons. I pressed x to go back
In Metal Gear Solid this was the case, it all makes sense now
So that’s why my ps3 controller worked like that. I thought someone swapped the buttons. Lol!
If you watch some lighthearted school anime, you see the character raise a sign of an O for correct and and X for wrong.
Never knew that before it’s interesting because you would think that they’re doing their shapes so that they don’t need to translate languages but I guess not

@@passenger3 What only 2 games like Hellblade 2 and Halo and you're in cloud nine? It won't even be an exclusive that's the funny thing. Will be available for PC and the Xbox one. I sold my Xbox one X just after 2 weeks due to no proper games so don't tell me I don't know about next gen. I am a former Xbox player but damn it had horrible games. Acquiring studios won't guarantee Xbox no success lol. Until then Xbox are babies compared to PS exclusives. Talking about backwards compatible for me it's enough to play ps4 games.

@@maskyy5316 In Japan, crucifixion had two types of "Crosses" used. One is the one we know and the other has the x shape.
It's because the buttons are based off of shapes, and them saying it's a cross and not an x is just separating it from being a letter or something I bet

Circle is “yes” and X (pronounced Cross) is “no” originally. It got swapped in the west for some reason.

I love the PS5 controller concept. I didn't like any of the previous PS controllers once the Xbox 360 controllers came out, but before then, I liked the PS1 and 2 controllers. I didn't like the PS3 controllers not having vibration, plus feeling light and lifeless. The PS4 controller was a step in the right direction, but still felt like it could've been a whole lot better. Anyhow, I am really excited about purchasing a PS5 this year and seeing if we are finally given a controller that leaves us not wanting. Hopefully they feel a little more solid and a little less cheap.
Hopefully haptic feedback doesn’t drive up the price of the controller unreasonably. The feature probably won’t even be as effective as they’re marketing it

I hope that Red Dualsense actually looks like that. I will have it with my PS5.
I do not know how big the haptic motors will be and how much power they will consume but one thing is for sure that they will lighter and consume less power than regular motors and the vibration from linear actuators are so much precise than the motors we are used to. It takes a little time for the motors to spin and also the momentum of the spinning weight just makes it feels like a shaky controller but linear actuators can vertically move almost instantly and stop quickly as well so vibration will be much better and precise with the dual sense.
What’s the point of 4K when we all still have 1080p monitors

2T Glitcher Since your “power” matters that much, then why can’t Xbox series X run the Unreal Engine 5 Demo? Because the SSD that Sony uses is MORE than twice as fast as that of Xbox and any other High-End PC out there. Also the PS5 will be backwards compatible. The prices haven’t been revealed by neither company so far, they are just rumors.

It's got more detailed vibrations, the bottom triggers feel different. The port is USB type C. The rest is aesthetic. Done.
The cherry on top would be wireless charging. Nonetheless it sounds great. Looking forward to trying the haptic engine

In japan ❌ means negative (gesture is arms crossed in front of your face) and ⭕ means positive. American developers didn't know this so they picked the comfier button to be yes, and the closest option that is not under your thumb when you're resting it on the yes button (so it's a conscious choice) to be no, so American games use ❌ for positive and ⭕ for negative.

Not sure if its been mentioned with the amount of comments but the first ps3 controller from the original 60gb ps3 (backwards compatible) console was actually semi transparent. Not fully obviously but you could see light through it.
The DualSense uses programmable voice-coil actuators instead of the old spinning rumble motors. If used correctly this could make a huge difference.

ROB AWESOME granted it’s perfect for open world games (seeing the map), competitive games (seeing scores) but other than that it’s useless. And they’re making the touchpad bigger? I hope it does more and we actually need it more for next gen because it’s quite useless at the moment. Who really uses it for the keypad? Could just be a small button otherwise. Fingers crossed they level up!!

Make it easier if you can, go for the renewed 16” MBP. The dedicated video card will be really useful for video editing. If you feel it’s expensive, go for $1799 version of MBP. Don’t even consider the $1299 version as the specs are too old for 2020.

Xbox has always had the more ergonomic controller. Feels more comfortable in the hands.
Just the fact that it the sticks are unsymmetrical makes it less comfortable.
Sin Archbishop of Greed comfort starts and is mostly dependent in the hands and ends to a lesser degree with the fingers. The hand is much more comfortable wrapped around the xbox controller than the ps controller.
