The 106 is back on the road and in daily use.
In this video I do a road test on it, and talk about what I think of the model.
The S2 is a very diffrent car to the S1 I had in the garage last year. Even though they are very similar there are some big diffrences in setups.
This car is awsome... And I belive it is about to be one of the next big things in the hot hatch department.

They are great cars my daughter had one as her first car after passing her driving test. Drove beautifully it was the same colour.
Love them both, the red/blue carpets let you know you’re in something special! ❤️💙
I’ve done 4 cars sunroofs they all leak usually the internal gutter rusts through due to poor design. To say I’ve got the t-shirt is an understatement 😅
Sunroof was such a bad idea.... its cool when they work and not leaking.... but that never happens...
Yea... Like my A112 abarth... Red seatbelts! :D
@@SeasideGarage yes I got a ph1 Rallye red carpet in both my saxos, sad as it may be I think it’s one of my favourite mods.
They are thinner and lighter than the standard carpets too. Red belts in the black vts look amazing with the black leather interior 👌
I have a phase 1 with the sunroof , is there any preventative measures i can take to stop that from happening? thanks
I've had many hot hatches but never one of these. I do like the shape though and after your analysis I would like to try one if the opportunity ever came.

The 106 is a good and stable car 😃.. And it make some good burnouts 😉

I think am interesting comparison of you ever get the chance would be the S2 106 Rallye Vs S2 106 GTI.

Just shows that different people have differing opinions on different things, if we all liked the same things equally, life would be a bit boring... :P

Fed kanal! S1 er ikke født med bananmanifold. Sidste udgave af s1 fra 95 blev leveret med andet rat og servostyring i DK så den kan rent faktisk godt have servo. I min bog er S1 flere x sjovere end s2 i underholdningsværdi. Skal det være s2 kan jeg anbefale gti. :-)
Aha ! Ja der er jeg måske blevet vildledt af den s1 jeg havde inde... Jeg var overbevist om de havde banan fra fabrikken?
Jeg kan godt huske det med at der kom nyt rat (med airbag) i den sidste aftapning af s1´eren... men vidste ikke at der også kom servo! det er jo næsten blasfemi! ;)

Install a cage inside........... 😁 ...Also, steel stamped wheels are more forgiving, if you hit a large stone. the rim bends a little, instead of breaking. -hopefully continuing to hold air.
I always tend to like steel rims more then alloy.... :) I also put steel rims on the R5gtt. :)

@@SeasideGarage I'm just trying to get ya to get into rallycross. 😄 I like stamped wheels too, over cast. Same with bikes. I much prefer spoke wheels, over mags of any kind. I especially don't trust ANY MAGS with few, and thin spokes (five star Puch, etc)

@@SeasideGarage Did I ever tell you, my dad, and grampa were both tool and die makers for GM? They didn't make any wheel dies, but they both made many of the dies that created car doors, hoods, bodies, of a lot of famous GM cars going back to right after WW2, when my grampa returned from the war. He was a Marine. Tail gunner in a B-25, in the South Pacific. VMB-413. Shamrocks. Stationed at Emerau Island. True story.
Seeing all that snow and given the time of year its a pity yours isn't the red version so that it could look like Santa;s Sleigh - you could have fitted a red light on the front grille as Rudolph's very shiny nose ha ha ha
I might have gotten the exhaust pipe a bit glowing at one point... ;)

Jeg kan se at den s1 du havde netop har bananmanifold, men det er eftermonteret, ligesom luftfilteret naturligvis. Det var et meget populært og ret effektivt tiltag i sin tid ofte sammen med en gruppe N chip. Hvis den går i omdrejningsbegrænseren over 7200-7300 har den sandsynligvis også chip. MVH

S1 is the better Rallye.
They are very different.
@@SeasideGarage True - but the engine in the S1 is such a highlight. The custom inlet manifold, the airbox and the 7200 red line. Quite a unique car in my opinion.
