Oh thank you💕💕 I think it used to be more common to have some overlapping stitches in old times for some practical reasons. These days, Sashiko is enjoyed for more ornamental purposes, so it has more focus on how it looks than how it works for a certain purpose. My style is obviously more influenced by ornamental Sashiko I suppose.

That’s great! Sarashi is an inexpensive and practical material in Japan but it tends to be pricey and hard to obtain overseas☹️ I hope you enjoy stitching on Sarashi❤️😊❤️😊🪡🧵
@@thegreenwrapperI hope so too. I just finished two Daruma pre-marked kits so I'll be trying the sarashi next. I'm a little nervous about marking the patterns myself but I've got my frixxion pens ready and some metric rulers!

The process of putting subtitles on a video is very time consuming process which requires hours of work😅 I will work on it but it may take some time. I personally did not like the 100yen shop threads from Seria I found them not to sew well for me, I did like the multicoloured Hobbyr thread I had some of that they sewed really well. I did buy some preprinted swatches from Seria but I found some the pattern stitch length is very small but it was food practice.

I bought a package of 10m sarashi for $30 US and I was happy to find it. How wonderful to buy it in Japan! It must have been a lovely trip.

I just tried a mini-Hanahukin from Seria. The stitch length was too short😅 I used some embroidery threads instead. I didn’t enjoy it much either…
