Hi Silas, thanks for taking the time to answer my question about having to flip the top car going into the crusher. Your channel is so entertaining, and for us Detroiters, informative. I've only been watching for a short time but have learned some things about autos that I never knew, especially how much is involved with scraping them. Again thanks.

It never fails to hit me, everyone of those vehicles was beautiful and someone's pride and joy, then they go the trash route, rust route, collision route, and have to be recycled. The expense over time floors me, not to mention the shortened service life. As always, I love your vids and sharing how life, works for you. I want to visit the Cosmosphere someday, and in the process see your junk yard! Another Hutchinson attraction.

Silas your right keep it simple and do not buy a big rig ..
If you bought a big rid ,then you would be subject to truck and trailer inspections , more costly oil changes ,mechanic rates would be more per hour than you pay now if you need repairs at a repair shop by a licensed big rig mechanic
your upgraded drivers license , paperwork paperwork +++
keep it simple and keep the money rolling in minimize your headaches… I have a large farm operation here and I’m successful because I’ve kept things simple and basic
I believe right now you’re driving a 12 valve dodge Cummings to pull the trailer five blocks to the claw that’s a winning combination just keep with what you got,

Silas, I have two questions. 1) I've been wondering a long time why people bring you cars instead of going 5 blocks to the claw? 2) With all the nail problems you've had, why don't you set aside some heavy duty tires you come across when you're taking wheels off, and have a pile you can take from and change out with your trailer tires when they've become too bad? After all, having two tires replaced on wheels is way less that $400. Even at $20 each you could do 10 tire replacements. If you find more rims, you could even have a stack pre-made ready to replace.

Watching your show from the UK, it always amazes me how well the older vehicles last in the States. Because we are a small island and no more than 100 miles from the ocean at any point, our cars rust out before they get that old and only ones that are cared well for seem to survive, not in any numbers, not like they seem to in your area, a part of me would like to repair and restore all them cars, but at the same time it is really relaxing watching you crush them !

Doors in Dodge bus look like from 30's or 40's vehicle, if rust and dent free I would keep maybe someone could use on a vehicle? Properly worth a couple $! 65 Dodge truck is cool as well as the Dodge bus! I enjoy seeing the old vehicles, they were simple and well built! If I didn't live so far away a would like to come and visit all your properties and see all your neat vehicles in person! Take care. Yes truck prices are crazy new and used!
