very good would be great if some animator could do animation of various parts functioning. This is one of best videos I have seen but talking about a loom and showing it working is not enough for poor old me!

curious why do you need more then one or two foot pedal don't you only need the yarn or thread half of them to move up while the other half moves down and visa-versa as you run the yarn/thread thru the side ? Why do you need 4 or more pedals or more then half split up on different headels... the different design comes from how much times you change the half crisis-crosses when going thru the side... i.e if you go twice for ever pedal hit ... you change how many wefts per warp... so why the additional pedels and spliting it up

I think she said most tartan is done with a twill pattern. That would require more shafts than just the two.
