She also had to make the choice before drawing the Toxrill so sure hindsight is 20/20 but that was the best choice to make with the info she had.
Been watching magic games all day and Gavin is the first player to save and use a counterspell when it mattered. Bravo.

Thanks for a few good tips for Blim, Airball. Had him for a while. Share the spoils go straight in, as well as coveted jewel. Attack unblocked, gain the jewel and draw 3, then gift it back on combat dmg if I have nothing else. Awesome.
I've only pulled this off once, but my favourite thing in the deck is the Phage OTK. With Endless Whispers in play, find a way to make Phage die and reanimate it under someone's control for lethal.

Can you give protection from colorless? I thought colorless wasnt a color.
Giver of runes specifically gives the ability to choose colourless.
This is normally true. But Giver specifically says "colorless or color of your choice."
I think the main reason is it can not target itself like mother of runes can. So it's a give and take.
I still can't get over Veggie turning his stuff the wrong way lol.
I love how he designed Yennet, everything on the card is odd: 3 keywords, his ability text has 35 words, his power and toughness are 3 and 5, the letters in it's name is 23, also odd.
I would like to point out that counterspell does not have odd cost, that is a flavor fail

24:30 Why didn't Gavin play Jin first then the mana rock to get 2 of them?
If you have 8 mana you can’t cast Jin for 7 and then a mana rock for 2
They needed the rock mana to cast the Jin for exactly.

I didn't think you could choose "colorless" as a color.
If this were mother if runes you'd be right. She specifically says color. But this is Giver of runes. She says color or colorless. :)

Why nerdgirl commander swings at the beginning for 6? Captain is 3/6
The 6 damage was from Slicer, Nerdgirl's commander swung at Veggie that turn i believe.
gavin needs to be held responsible for murdering and wearing the skin of the last 90's bowling alley floor.
So Veggie could have killed Gavin at any point on the crazy turn between the flouting mana and Xancha right? unsure why they didn't do that
If Veggie had killed Gavin with his copy of Time Wipe on the stack, Nerdgirl could have given her board persist with Veggie's artifact and the original Time Wipe being cast by Airball would have been exiled from the stack, allowing Nerdgirl to still have most of her board.

Mother of Runes (MOR) can’t give protection from colorless only colors.
Thankfully the one Gavin played was Giver of runes and it can give protection from colorless!

Mother of runes can't. But it you check the card pop up again you will see it is actually a card called Giver of runes! It can protect against colorless.
