the real fun fact is she wasnt 100% during this number, she had a bit of a head cold coming on, notice her headphones are off one ear, and when she goes to her head voice she twists her mouth to sing to that ear, she was a bit stuffed up, but she did the performance anyway, thats a PRO !!!
The most impressive thing about morissette, i think is the insane quality of her tone in every single performance. She draws you in emotionally with her voice. She tells her story very well and it makes that more powerful. Amazing artist.
She had a cold for this performance. That's why her tone is grittier than usual and there are more squeaks. This would be a dream performance for so many, so the fact that she was sick is amazing. That's how good she is.

One of my favorite renditions of this song. I can't speak to her vocal technique but I agree with you that whatever she is doing, she makes it sound good with lots of feeling and emotion that makes it stand out from a lot of the covers out there. I always thought of Mori’s interpretation as a song of sacrifice or struggle for a loved one. As a single parent with a young child, I find it very relatable.

One reason that makes her standout in her performances is how meticulous she is while singing. Many reactors commented that on her awkward side of the mouth singing without giving an explanation, I believe its a technique to prevent mic peaking? .. Also, her breath intake is more evident here than most of her performances. I think it was intentional because this is a song of struggle? Such a consummate performer !

I always look forward to your professional reaction Josh,as i am sure many other Morissette fans do,yes Morissette is a very natural gifted female vocalist,with her own unique tone and style,and i really think ,she is the best female live vocalist ,i have ever heard,she has the ability to sing the majority of genres of music ,with so much ease,which even the great Divas ,of the past and present could not do live.yes you may think i over blown this young lady's vocal ability,but the more you see her perform,i know you will see why i came to this conclusion.as far as recommendation's go,my favourite,IKAW AY AKO,,But in truth,no matter which song you chose,she will surprise you every time,that i have no doubts,and you will be see ,how versatile a singer she is.lovely reaction Josh.well done.
Nothing is overblown when it comes to Morissette, she is the ultimate vocal performer, and yes she always produces the goods especially on the stage, it's amazing to me how she manages to change her voice to suit the song she is singing, she's the chameleon of the music world, I am 62yrs old, I've never seen anything past or present that even comes close, even the great Aretha couldn't do rock, Country, musical theatre, this girl covers all the genre's like no other.

A Filipina singer-songwriter, rapper, dancer, multi-instrumentalist, and television personality. Born June 2, 1996, Minglanilla, Cebu City, Philippines. Her family has always been into music, or musically inclined. Her father is a rocker. She was 3 years old when her family discovered her talent in singing. She used to sing when she was left alone with a karaoke machine. She joined her first singing contest held by a radio station in Cebu City, Philippines
She first rose to prominence when she finished as a runner-up on TV5's Star Factor at the age of 14 and in 2012; she made her professional stage debut in the Repertory Philippines production of Disney's Camp Rock. Did you mean when she sings "Move Mountains" you hear mini whistle notes? Also is this 9:28 a bass, it's shaking my headset and giving me a wonderful massage.
It's on the ooo's. Any time she is singing the long u vowel sound. But my hearing is abnormal. I have very keen ears. Headphones make a big difference though.

Thank you for your awesome reaction! Yes.... she's really unique among Asian Singers (Far East). Most of them when they use their high belts it's thinning out their voices. This is one of the reasons why Morissette stands out among the Asian Singers. If you quantify her talent among all young Philippines Singers, she'll be on top and that's my observation being a non Filipino. Morissette introduces me to some Filipino Singers but then it happened the so called Fandom wars, I completely stopped watching them. I don't want trouble, I just want to enjoy the music and be entertained and that's what Morissette is giving me. They are so Toxic especially when Morissette suffered from vocal problem that was 2018 when she barely have enough vocal rest because of her hectic schedule in and out of the country. The funny thing... in spite of the connivance of all the other Filipino Singers fans trying to bring her down the more Morissette is becoming famous worldwide. Good thing she was able to take her rest during this pandemic. I spotted toxic fan of other Filipino Artist here disclaiming that Morissette was not under the weather in this performance. Yes, she was not feeling well. Prior to this performance, the Dj of the Wish Bus interviewed her and Mori said she's been suffering from flu and even she's coughing during the interview. If you noticed she's swallowing her saliva and inevitable rasp in her voice. Just a piece of advice to all the Filipinos, learn to respect, support, unite and market your Singers to the world. ✌

When you say 'whistle' I'm not sure if you're talking about her intentional vocal breaks or the distorted sound in the audio. The original video has been removed by youtube and this has been uploaded over and over which kinda messed up the original audio so it now has that distorted, high pitch sound in the background.
That's it. It didn't sound the same as her other breaks I've heard. Too bad it's there. I'd love to hear this performance without it. I joke that I have Daredevil hearing and sometimes to my detriment. :-) Love her and this performance though.

Unfortunately that high pitched whistle or whine you are hearing on there occasionally is just the audio quality of the video being bad. It stays just a single pitch... if it were harmonics it would change pitch when she does...
