It’s funny how many men say this. My husband thought I didn’t wear makeup for years! She is most certainly wearing it, just much more ‘naturally’ than usual 🙂
She looks younger because she's just at home with no makeup looking natural during the pandemic and quarantine situation, while when she's performing on the Wish Bus she's all pampered up.
Morissette made this video just a few months ago. The lights in the back are her home recording setup. You'll see several other recent recordings from her home during quarantine. Her parents are musicians, and she has been singing since she was little. She is now 24 years old.
Most filipino singers if not all are not formally trained. Maybe because of genes, culture, environment, appreciation of music and practice that these singers get to be on top of their game. Filipino singers are world class entertainers.
She is one of the most down to earth talents on this planet, humble, bubbly, and loves giving hugz. She recorded these 6 Broadway songs, just after her 24th birthday, June 2/2020 and hence the title, Broadway Quaranthemes. She doesn't sing.....she PERFORMS, especially these. The intro in the "She Use To Be MIne" cover , gives you info of her theatrical past.
With Mori it's hard to listen to the original once you hear her cover. It's also hard to listen to other singers doing a cover of her own songs. It's just not the same 💚👌

Fan of Mori from Middle East subscribed because of her. Yes , she is really special, down to earth and bubbly. Mori has natural gift and I think she has a little bit background in theater in her early teens. If she'll push herself into training to a real vocal couch, she'll be the top notch vocalist today. This performance of hers is just a couple months during the Pandemic ( lockdown) in the Philippines, she's now 24 so she's basically older here than her Wish Bus performances. She sang live 6 favorite musical songs of hers in this "Stages Session" , Defying Gravity was one of them. Next please "She Used To Be Mine". Thank you for your awesome reaction!

I love the difference between her speaking voice and singing voice. She is so bubbly when she speaks but when she sings she goes into beast mode and sounds more mature. She’s simply amazing. Love her musical theatre voice.

Morissette when not performing is bubbly just like any 24 yr old woman. She just turn into this beast when she performs. It’s like a switch you can see it on some of her videos on WishBus (Never Enough and Akin ka na lang). To some her confidence on stage and the way she is so effortlessly navigating through her registers. They see that as arrogance or trying to show off. Just goes to show you can’t please everyone and people will always find something to not like about a person. But you are correct she is one of the most humble and down to earth performers in the Philippines. She is our Queen Morissette. #AsiasPhoenix

I think the person who told you she wasn't classically trained did not mean she hasn't had training. Because if they did they would be wrong she has had training there's a big difference in a 13yr Mori and a 16yr Mori. You can see the training she worked very hard.

Her range is Bb2-D8, her practical range is the same as Dimash's practical range, although his known range is A1-D8. Both do crazy vocal acrobatics. Her vocal breaks are little whistles somewhere in the 6th octave and she started doing D7's and D8's just to wake people up. My favorite female vocalist and Dimash is my favorite male vocalist and I'm so happy we live in a time where some people in suits don't control who's voice will be heard.

I believe she looks younger due to makeup, on the wish bus her hair styled and she was wearing a great deal more makeup. This performance she has very little if any. 🤷🏼♂️ either way she is fantastic
She’s a Filipina; main reasons she’s beautiful, gorgeous and young....lol, these are set of songs she did the last few months during covid19 where in this session she’s wearing the same red shirt.
A lot of Filipinos aren’t classically trained, rafter they learn from “the streets”. I think there’s a standard of expectation if you are to stand out in the Philippines as singing is a very common talent among the general public, it’s deeply rooted in our culture. So when you say things like she’s very “resonant,” in my opinion, it’s a basic requirement on top of personal specialities if you want to impress Filipinos. There are certain qualities and expectations, almost like knowing your ABC’s but that’s a whole ‘nother topic.
