Band-Maid always brings an ONSET of love, appreciation and happiness to their viewers. Why? Because they're so damn good -- good-natured, good-hearted, good-looking, and beyond good as writers, players and performers. Wow, right?!

Akane's drumming is not just about keeping the beat, it's a melodic instrument to her. She's amazing!

Those few seconds of ad after the video remind me of why Band Maid towers above most of modern “music.”
Yokohama got “Onset!” Not sure the last time they played that live.
Thanks, Eric, for keeping the Maids in rotation. You didn’t mention Akane’s snare sound, which stands out to me for whatever reason. How would you describe it? Would you consider commenting more about her sound on another reaction in the future?
Keep up the good work 👍🏽 🤘🏽 🥁

Thanks for the kind words, brother! I'd call her snare sound "meaty." LOL for lack of a better word. It's thick and juicy sounding if that makes sense. It stands out in the drum mix without over powering everything else.

This looks like some sort of crazy music lab where four players emerge from darkness, smoke and flashing light to hypnotize you with a brilliant performance. I'll never get tired of listening. Thanks for the reaction DA.

Hey Eric. Thanks! Great job! Couple of thoughts. You might know these, but I'm kind of the "I'll let him know just in case he doesn't know kind of guy". A lot of people when they pause the video will back up 5 or 10 sec when they restart. 5 is usually enough. That would be my preference, if you choose to do that. Here are some keyboard shortcuts that some people don't know about. You can use these whether the video is paused or running. Back 5 sec - Left Arrow. Back 10 Sec - J key (either case). Forward Right Arrow and L key respectively. I only use the " < " key because you can hit it multiple times and get 5-10-15 sec., etc., and not go too far like you might with the 10 sec key. Very helpful for re-watching a solo for example that might be 15 or 25 seconds. These work as long as you are, or were, just on the video, not if you were tying something on the page. Now for the best part. I don't know if you know this, but Misa goes back and forth from picking to slapping by tucking the pick up into her hand. Not a lot of bassists do this from what I understand. There is a really clean shot of it at 3:42. Pause the video. Place cursor at 3:42. Now, using the " > " key, you can advance the video frame by frame for each time you hit the key. Better than slow mo for some things. Each time you hit the key, it will freeze at the next frame. You can hit it one time or, multiple times rapidly. If you go too far, back it up with the "

You know, I can't believe it took me this long to put 2 + 2 together, but...many of us have commented that Miku NOT knowing how to play at first was kind of a secret weapon (or more precisely, a "force multiplier") because her having to play really basic rhythm parts freed up MISA to go ham on the bass. In the solo section they actually _spell this out:_ Miku plays a very simple rhythm part for four bars, and then MISA and Kanami join in when she repeats it and BLAMMO completely different experience.
