Wow! DJ Kiva, brilliant presentation. So clear. So powerful. Nobody is doing it like you are doing it. Forward!
great sound!!! really a fantastic tutorial. plus very funny! instantly subscribed! please continue the great work. Cheers
nice tip Kiva - bring on the whale dub!
This video is very underrated. This was precisely what I was looking for.
So original and beneficial!! Keep'm coming!!!
Awesome series man
very cool video -- I knew about stuff like this, but I like some specific details you did. I might post some methods I used as derivatives of learning yours, later.
superb lesson. I have never thought to use feedback like that. thnx for ur videos sir.
Really great trick for sound designers! Bravo! (Y)
Amazingly creative man!
great tutorial. excellent video production and that song youre working on is pretty bad ass. I definitely sub'd! one piece of advice on the video is you should mention that the purpose of that limiter is to not destroy your speakers or your hearing. can't wait to see what else you produce.
krgorsk just watch your volume. Even if you don't have a limiter, the DC offset cannot exceed its limit which is your volume.
i laughed my ass off at the intro... not laughing anymore! crazy stuff, love this!!
thanks good tutorial !
Awesome thanks
this was Beginner Mode .like using feedback as an effect you can tweak. i think ableton might be 2nd in feedback loop creation. Logic 1st , Reason 3rd .Cubase or FL Studio with Mini Host Modular 4th ... i Just Uploaded an Analog + Digital Feedback Loop . ive done tutorials on how to feedback loop im different DAW's since way Back . and Analog Also .
You notice doing this, it often only loops in one channel L or R?
Awesome!
That's dope
Wouldnt it be better to keep the simple delay on the chain? I always thought the delay bouncing back and forth between send and return create the feedback loop. Maybe this is just a more subtle way of achieving the same thing?
OK so... when you move the boost frequency of the EQ, it sounds like it's picking out spikes in a harmonic series... and the fundamental is around 300Hz (@ around 3:53 in the clip). I wonder why that is? Is it always 300Hz? Something to do with the latency of the plugins on that track?
for some reason, when I send an aux channel to an audio channel (fx return), I get a delay. I tried all of the methods for fixing delay that I know of (delay compensation in preferences, on the AUX channel, on the audio channel, etc). Do you have any idea why that is, or do you experience that? It might be because I had too many VST plugins loaded and the CPU was overloaded... not sure.
David Pixley try lowering your audio buffer.
theres a pop that i can listen tho. Aint it damaging speakers just for the digital clipping?
Mad Ape of course not. Just watch your volume...
Cool!
Oh -- a question. Can I take the limiter off and play on other peoples' speakers like this, after asking somebody to stand close to the speakers??
+David Pixley you can fuck up the speakers man don't do it
Javier Ignacio you just hatin...
Unreal
holy fuck
Are you silly? I'm still gonna send it
