  • R2 worries about coming down with childhood diseases like 'whooping cough' (or Pertussis for you eggheads out there). Threepio, of all characters, calms him down then tells the 'parents of Earth' to make sure their kids are fully immunized. From the late 70's.

    Don't worry R2. We droids are much too mighty to catch diseases like whooping cough or measles or polio...

But ppl who grew up on star wars from the 70s are all shocked to learn he has 1 chrome leg. They recall 2 gold ones. Yet somehow in this video he has 2 gold ones, y? Why do thousands of ppl recall him only having 2 gold legs, and why does he have 2 gold legs here, but he NEVER had 2 gold legs in any of the movies?

      @@caseypsaThere's absolutely no evidence to support a vaccination-autism link. The doctor that published that"finding" 25 or so years ago not only had his paper thoroughly debunked, he lost his license to practice medicine. And how do you think companies make money off autism? Most vaccinations are inexpensive, low earning products. They make money, in the US, off anything you see advertised on TV. There's no treatment for autism to bring in revenue anyhow. Please remove the tin foil hat.

    This is entirely appropriate in every way. Once again, those pushing a vaccination will never actually get it themselves.
    Remember, kids, always ask of others to do things that you would never do to yourself.

    • @ChrisNovak-ProfessionalNerd
      @ChrisNovak-ProfessionalNerd Před rokem

      Marino, I’m the sort of person who not only pushes vaccination, but has received every vaccination since I started school in 1961. Several of the vaccines for smallpox, live polio, and measles come to mind. Because of high global vaccination rates, smallpox has been eradicated globally. The live polio vaccine is no longer required (the US can now use the safer killed virus version of the polio vaccine), and deaths due to polio have plummeted in the U.S. from 1-3 thousand children per year (1950s), to almost none. A big push on the measles vaccine mean that while there are measles flare-ups in unvaccinated areas, measles is no longer endemic in the U.S., meaning it no longer automatically recirculates year after year. This saves the lives of another 400 children per year (based on 1950s data). Actually, without vaccines, as the US population has more than doubled, you can safely double the children’s lives saved annually: 2,000 - 6,000 per year saved from polio, and another 800 children’s lives saved from measles and its complications.

    • @Tracymmo
      @Tracymmo Před 3 měsíci

      The actors were almost definitely vaccinated with whatever was available to them, especially as they were around for polio and measles and other diseases before vaccinations. They probably knew people who'd had those illnesses or may have had them themselves.
      And on what planet do people who promote life-saving vaccines not get them for themselves and their families? If anything, they're the best about staying on top of vaccines and boosters. These people include medical professionals.
      In other words, you have no idea what you're talking about.
