I found you just now.. 2 degrees of separation from Grunt Proof, through someone he recommended. I am a Missourian born and raised south central Missouri area. The scenario you laid out here is definitely something to war game and consider.. among the many possibilities one would be contending with.. Everyone has their own opinions, and see things from different angles.. to me it his situation and my response will depend on just how much of the fed is left, how much they interact with the small enclaves scattered about.. I’d imagine the extent of the population left would be a factor.. there are many things to take in to account. I tend toward not tolerating heavy handed demands or threats so brazen to demand tax or tribute. I’d likely remove his spirit from body for him.. post haste for such a threat. Again, without being certain of many other factors.. it would be difficult to overlook. I wouldn’t want to entertain the idea that I would allow behavior like this to stand.
