Fair point. In this case the new exhaust was slightly too loud even with the baffle in, so I packed it out which has brought the volume down but it still sounds “better” in my opinion. It’s also saves around 2.8kg compared to stock (also this is eliminating weight that’s high up which is good). But I will admit that I also like the bling factor. So £160 to save a bit of weight, improve the sound and look of the bike is acceptable to me. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend much more than that.
I have the same issue on my 300 rally. The black widow sounds amazing but too loud. Especially when riding at 100kph long distance, definite ear damage, had to change back. Installed the secondary baffle as well but still too much mid volume. Love the look and sound though! Can you post exactly what you used to repack it? I'd like to give it a try.

Easy job but watch a video if you need more help. It makes the exhaust far easier to live with 😊👍
Tbh I like being as anonymous as possible when I’m riding lanes so I’d prefer the original. For the road, the new one is better.

@@thesurreyrider3396 that’s not a bad price to save nearly 3 kilos
Better than an akrodiculous price 👍
Absolutely! 😂
People saying this exhaust is too loud need to seek help from Jesus Christ himself.
Karen doesn't approve 😂

Thanks a million. I'll give it a look when I get back from the Portuguese TET in 2 weeks!
No worries, enjoy 👍
Road legal?
Can the OEM heat shield be fitted back onto the bike?
Unfortunately not, as it is meant to bolt back onto a hole on the muffler (the new one doesn’t have a hole to fasten into)
