Built-in licence protection. Change up to third and you're still doing less thsn 20mph! Avoid hills.

How did the Fantic hold up re oil and air filter changes etc etc?

seems your maps are missing an awful lot of lanes, there is so much off road in this part of wales and i am sure it is on the TET route too - unless i am mistaken something went wrong, or did you choose to prefer road?

if you really enjoy wearing armour you should invest in some better stuff that is soft, it moulds to you as it gets warm from your body and offers much better protection than these old school plastic things that are uncomfy, fit badly and move when you need them most - anyway, simple advice - spend a few hundred on protection that fits you, i don't wear it myself as i raced in protection for years before i realised i truly hate the stuff, for the last 13 years i have done without as i am much better on the bike without it - great adventures and thanks for the entertainment 🙂

I have the same issue on my 300 rally. The black widow sounds amazing but too loud. Especially when riding at 100kph long distance, definite ear damage, had to change back. Installed the secondary baffle as well but still too much mid volume. Love the look and sound though! Can you post exactly what you used to repack it? I'd like to give it a try.

Ah, Wales, what a beautful country. Ideal terrain for my Beta Alp 200. Maybe 2023 or 2024 TET Wales. Small bikes make life much easier, even at 34 degrees. I had the same quite un-English heat wave in Salisbury Plain. Which I prefer to rain and mud ;-) Cheers from Nürnberg/Germany, Günter

The CRF 300 is quite popular in Germany, too. And sold our for this year. Either you wait or pay 10% extra ;-) Would you say that updating the chassis is the most important thing performance wise? (apart from the usual extras like bash plate and hand guards...) I'd like to have something sustantially lighter on TET travels than my Transalp 600 in future, but at the moment only the CRF 300 pushes the right buttons. Maybe at the EICMA in Milan? If you only use the rear pipe you shouldn't need to do the ECU tune. But these bikes run lean from the factory. So with the full exhaust the ECU tune is a must. Not a huge horse power gain, but it will help the bike run cooler, and just better overall throughout the throttle range. Here in the US, the '550 performance' ECU is what everybody is doing with good results

Tbh I like being as anonymous as possible when I’m riding lanes so I’d prefer the original. For the road, the new one is better.

Finally some news of you. Good that you're back on two wheels. The Honda CRF 300 L is a logical choice for many adv riders. Pity there are so few lightish and "normal" bikes around. She posts maybe 3 times a week as she travels up the western coast of the Americas on her way to Alaska.
