Actually a minefield is just a graveyard waiting to happen.
The bombs did the graves *for* us!
"Minister, I have warned you about the danger of speaking to people in the department!"
There's another great clip where Humphrey finds out the Minister has "gone walkabout", meaning he's exploring the office building. Humphrey dashes in saying that he's "loose in the building!"
Sir Humphrey: “Do you mean to tell me Bernard that the Minister is loose in the building?”
@@simonbenson8740 I forgot, the setup to that is just as funny. Bernard calls Himphrey’s secretary and says “Tell Sir Humphrey the Minister’s gone on walkabout” then he hangs up the phone and looks at his watch counting down the seconds till Humphrey bursts through the door
Thought I died at "...perhaps they ought to be in the House of Commons"...then Bernard spoke up!
Bernard, was such an underappreciated genius on this show!
Secretly, I think Bernard knew precisely what he was doing. Like Columbo in, well, Columbo.
You can't have graveyards in a minefield was classic
I agree but his contribution is immense.....he is the seasoning that makes the stue tasty
"You have a plan?" He asked, expecting it to be written in crayon
Excuse me, Sir Humphrey, you cannot have graveyard in a minefield… Its all the corpses would *”BOOM!”*
Minister! I've already warned you about the dangers of speaking to others in the building!
Bernard gets the best lines.
I think many people came to this video simply because of Bernard's quote. I love how he doesn't articulately describe what would happen to the corpses which is the pompous typical Yes Minister style he describes it as a child would making that sound.
D Lucey absolutely true, that. I trawled through a lot of videos for exactly what you said 😀👍
Graveyard in a minefield 😂😂
Are there not already graveyards in minefields?
You can get a Minefield in a graveyard but you can't get a graveyard in a minefield
Whisper [eyes wide]: You have a plan?🤣
Can't remember the last time I saw a show so well written with wit, charm and intelligence.
You cant have a graveyard in a mine field 🤣
I love Bernard!
That button at the end, perfect.
Oh Bernard!
Took me a a second to realize he was reading it.
Ahh that’s what the business with the glasses was
That's actually a good idea
Bernard Woolley. Pure genius.
I think it is time to by a box set. This stuff whips anything the beeb has made recently!
You're right, Hacker. Half of them ARE on an Eggo trip.
Landmines go down inches Underground, whereas Graves go down many feet underground; therefore land mine explosions will not disturb coffins/ caskets.
Party pooper.
I suppose it's that, while you can put a minefield in a graveyard, you can't put a graveyard in a minefield.
I'm going to have another go at watching both series, this makes gold look like a useless piece of junk in comparison 😃
Why the video does not have a clean image? I mean, those movies from the same time have excellent resolution but this series don't, even when shared by it's original producer.
I can't believe such art work was recorded in 360p.
It was almost definitely recorded in 576i
It's probably from a VHS home recording. Standard VHS (PAL) is 288i.
They are so well dressed.
Just the last line for that one.
Twelve years old comment...are Y'all still around?😳
@@stephencharlesgrace4542 Not dead yet. About this, from Monty Python and the Holy Grail... the "Bring out your dead" sketch will maybe apt soon again.
Landmines don't affect caskets
there s a 10gb torrent
Post request to the BBC Sky for Brown, Cameron... view Trident, Failure... then their 'edited' comments be broadcast on BBC 4
No alternative. Bojo
