Bunzer.of.Wunzerton 223 if their penalty for abortion is 3 years, it’s likely they’re a country that teaches abstinence instead of safe sex. it’s been a long time, so i can’t remember the exact numbers, but countries that taught safe sex and had legal access to abortions had a significantly lower number of teen pregnancies, unsafe abortions, death or serious maiming from unsafe abortions, etc. that’s also why you see a significant number of teen pregnancies in the US (if you live here, anyway) because the vast majority of schools here teach abstinence, which also tends to have a lot of misinformation. i remember being told contraception doesn’t work, so best to stay away from sex. of course that didn’t stop people from having sex, but i know a lot of girls who had kids by junior year 🤷🏻♀️

To all the people saying "Murders", what are you doing to care for these unwanted children?? We still have a lot of unwanted children in the system. Even as you seat there and watch this video, many children that are out of the mother's womb need you help. If you really want to help these children ADOPTED and help people to get educated about contraception. No woman out there dreams of having an abortion.

You either pay a small amount for abortion, or pay a large amount for the birth of a child you don’t want just so you can give it away to the state. Chances of that child being adopted decrease every year and then they will be more predisposed to a life in the criminal justice system.
Give actual solutions instead of thoughts and prayers b/c you’re right, any solution is better than killing an innocent child, but there aren’t many (if any) other options. Anyone can chastise another, be the bigger person and offer actual tangible alternatives.

These women are heroes. I don’t know what I would’ve done as a young single pregnant woman back then if I didn’t have the right to get an abortion, but I think I’d have considered my life to be over if I had a child at that age, without the education I wanted or the means to provide for myself and a child. I would have considered suicide. So I’m glad that I have that option now, and that the women of Jane gave people back then another option.
i'm reading a great book that was written by one of the women featured in this video, titled THE STORY OF JANE. it was published about 25 years ago and is very descriptive, including some details regarding the actual procedures they used. and u're right; these women were selfless, dedicated heroes who no doubt saved many women's lives while making the lives of thousands more better by the service they provided, which was a lot warmer and more personal (and affordable!) than what one typically gets from institutionalized medicine.

People need to realise one thing; absolute, utter laws don't work in environments where diversity is prominent. Banning abortions once and for all may be in favor of many people but would at the same time be detrimental for many others. Leaving the option open for an abortion is the way to go, after all (as also said in the video) it is the mother's and the doctor's decision to conduct or not the procedure.
Some people are against abortions due to personal beliefs, bad past experiences with abortions or anything else, and that is perfectly valid.
At the same time nobody can deny that abortions are vital for some women's lives. Rape victims, certain women whose bodies aren't strong enough to accommodate a baby so that pregnancy/labor would be dangerous or even lethal for the mother, teenage mothers, women who can't afford to raise children or simply women who aren't ready for this type of responsibility. After all having a child is something that requires life-long commitment and many sacrifices not all women are ready or willing to make.
So, in order to keep everyone happy, abortions should be legal and accessible to anyone who may need one. It's a personal choice and nobody should have to go through the vicious cycle of criticism and shame caused by others, everyone has their reasons when it comes to making a certain decision.
At the end of the day, me having an abortion doesn't take away your right of not wanting an abortion and having a baby, nor does it affect your life in any way. However, you protesting against abortions causes laws to be established that make abortions illegal, ultimately taking away my rights and affecting my life in a tremendous way.
At the "end of the day", I don't care about YOUR life, I care about theirs!!!
At least when I stand before God, He will know I tried to save the life of His most precious souls, the ones He entrusted to the care of their OWN mothers(parents), but they choose to use the old worn out saying, which doesn't give the SAME right to their own unborn!! I wouldn't perform abortion on myself if I ever did got pregnant (Although that wouldn't say much since I'm a celibate) however, I will never deny that abortion is essential not only for the mother but also for the children. I just cannot fathom the fact that the law would prevent women from abortion when they aren't ready to have and wouldn't be able to provide and love fully. Considering that childhood will develop who this child would be for the rest of their lives, if the mother wouldn't be able to provide the proper environment this child would have to attain not only a healthy personality but also a healthy way of building relationship. Not only that but there are cases of rape and force impregnation sometimes by relatives do you want the mother to just raise the child she doesn't even want to have and spend all this medical bills if ever the child has genetic illnesses. A lot of people had an uptick in living standards at the same time rvw was passed, and (statistically) a large portion of crime is motivated by material conditions. No correlation, it just happened to coincide.
I applaud these women for doing what was right! We cannot allow government officials to take away a woman's right to safe and legal abortion. Our bodies, our choice!!

This law led to my abortion at 16yo less than a month after it passed. My Mother marched me down to the Doctor and in a nice sterile hospital setting under anesthesia, he performed the "procedure". I woke up crying for my baby. A few days later, armed with fake ID, I went down to the club, walked up to my friends and the father of the child and said to him, I just murdered our child. Everyone was too shocked to respond.
I then never spoke of it again until a few years ago when my Mother realized that she had been misled by thinking this was not a life and begged me for my forgiveness.
This is the first time I have publicly admitted this but, when I saw how these women righteously sit there acting like they did a noble deed, it stirred something in me. I need to tell the world that this is wrong.

Life does not begin at conception nothing misleading about it. If you had done late term abortion then yea, you did kill a life but an embryo/fetus during the first trimenster doesnt have personhood, they dont feel pain, they're not conscious and they can't live without attaching to you and they're as small as a bean, that's not personhood. Having a child is a big deal- they take up money, time, and other resources. And the US foster/adoption system is swamped with kids who are unable to find permanent families. The better access they have to the abortion procedure or PILL (yes, there's a pill for the early stages of pregnancy that induces a miscarriage), the safer the mom will be. The foster system is full of older children who were taken from their mothers/parents due to illegal activity, drug use and child abuse. Very brave ladies. It’s so sad that people are myopic on this topic. Pro choice isn’t necessarily pro abortion. It’s just pro “choice”. If any other right Americans enjoy choice with, such as the right to worship any religion they want were threatened they would come out fighting for their right to choose. In a perfect world there would not be a need for abortions as people would have sex responsibly.....but sadly it’s not a perfect a world. It’s simply no body’s business but the woman’s. It's a choice between life and death. Society definitely has an interest in that. You take the most intimate connection you'll ever have and kill it. The "doctor" reaches in to the womb, the place of safety, and crush the baby's head. Sometimes the instrument slips and it takes several tries to finally kill the baby.

As for nurseries honestly I'm an adult woman and if I got pregnant on accident I would keep it, but it would be very hard financially on both me and my husband as a month in nursery is like 800£. And a nanny is even more expensive.And that's two people working together. If you're a very young single woman, or a woman without any support from your family, I can understand how raising a child may turn practically impossible.

Hate to break it to you, but condoms and other forms of contraception aren't 100% failproof.
Condoms are 98% effective in preventing pregnant and paired with any other form of contraception lower the chance of pregnancy to a minuscule percentage

I understand unwanted pregnancies occurring in the 50s & 60s when birth control was still unpopular and largely unavailable. Today there is little excuse. With so much information, education and access to free birth control, I find it absolutely irresponsible and careless for so many women to be serious enough about not having a baby that they’ll get one or multiple abortions, yet continue to cry out with excuses as to why they miraculously became pregnant in the first place. If you willingly consent to sex and are not using birth control you should not be able to terminate your pregnancy legally. Maybe if it were more difficult to obtain an abortion, more expensive, more dangerous, I guarantee the number of irresponsible people would decline substantially.
Well I hate to break it to you, but even today there are no failproof birth control options. Your fantasy that women are out getting multiple abortions as some kind of birth control (which involved hundreds of dollars, days off work, and depending on location, having to travel long distances and get lodging) is idiotic and dangerous. Getting an abortion is incredibly hard in many places but that does not decrease the need for them. And by making abortion harder you also punish women who are raped and have medical need for wanted pregnancies gone wrong. Just admit you want women to suffer for daring to choose to have sex.

I was a 16yr old and it was illegal in Florida so my poor parents flew me to NewYork. I rode in a taxi in the middle of the night through central park and had an abortion at midnight. I started vomiting during the procedure and passed out the doctor slapped me to wake me. Than back to the hotel bleeding heavily and had to go to the airport and take a plane home cramping heavily. It was the worse time I ever experienced.
