Come and explore the Ark Encounter with us and see what it is all about! We recently visited the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, Kentucky with our 4 kids. I must say it was such an amazing experience! In this video check out not only how incredible this replica of Noah’s Ark is, but all the stuff there is to see and do there! The ark alone is a museum filled with so much fun and interesting things to see. As well the whole location is filled with tons of activities, such as an on property zoo (with a petting zoo), camel rides, a virtual reality experience, zip lines, and more!!!

Cool! The other Ark Encounter videos didn't show rain and animal sounds. I would love to hear that ha! Noah's ark was my oldest sister's most favorite Bible Story. If only she would be alive today to experience it but then, up in Heaven's she's probably talking to Noah and meeting all the animals that actually were on the ark so she's experiencing the real thing. ☺
Yes, the sound effect in the Ark were definitely cool - but more so in person. The Noah's ark story is such a wonderful story from the Bible!! I know what you mean - wishing loved one were still here to see & visit it - I know my dad would have enjoyed it if he was still living. We just visited with our four kids this week and it was great! We had been in 2016 but there was more to see this time. The zoo with the kangaroo walkabout was so neat.

I went to the Ark Encounter recently. It was a great experience. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the place. They had a Christmas concert in the early evening. And the grounds were lit up with Christmas lights. Beautiful. Definitely buy your tickets online.

If it can be shown that the earth is billions of years old, that dinosaurs and humans did not live side by side, why teach otherwise? You don't think God made it look like that the earth was created that way to deceive us, do you? Because that is blasphemous.

I plan on going to the ark in the in future. And I would love to know how long it took you and your family to get through the entire experience.
We were there for about four hours, however I highly recommend more time. We only had a half a day to spend there, so that is why we were limited on time. We were able to see everything inside the ark, but there is other things to see on property. So if you have at least six hours to spend there,I think that would be a good amount of time. Hope you enjoy when you go. 😊

How many days would you recommend to visit the ark encounter? Would it be doable to visit it in one day or are two days needed? Is the Creation Museum worth staying a second day in that area to explore? We will be visiting next month and really appreciated this video! God bless.
As far as how many days I would recommend visiting the Ark encounter - one full day there is perfect.I believe. It is definitely doable to do both places (creation museum and ark) in one day, that is what we did. However, I highly recommend if you have two days and can split up each place in one day, to allow more time to spend at each. When we went, we did not have an extra day, but I definitely wished I had more time at both places. And yes, the creation museum is worth visiting for sure! Hello Kathy! We spend four hours at the Ark Encounter - but honestly I wish we had another hour or two as there was a few more things to see. We did the Creation Museum earlier that day (also for four hours) and then went down to the Ark. It is do-able to do both in one day BUT if you have the time I recommend splitting the visit into two days (one place for each day). Hope this was helpful. 😊 Have a blessed weekend!!
How long did it take you to tour the whole thing? What day of the week & did you go?
We were at the Ark Encounter for about four hours 2pm-6pm, however I would have liked another hour or two there. We went on a Monday in May and did both the Ark & Creation Museum in the same day. Looking back now, I would preferred to split the visits into two days in stead of one. If you have the time to do the visits in two day to see both, I recommend it! Hope this was helpful 😀

We went to the ark. It was phenomenal. The only thing I didn’t like was how commercialized it was, and how they try to sell you everything. However, I understand they need to sell things to keep their business going, but it felt pushy.
Glad you had the opportunity to visit the Ark! Sorry that you felt they were being pushy on trying to sell you stuff. We did not have time to really even see the gift shop there. I did however purchase one souvenir while we were there - a book about the Ark with great illustrations - that I thought my kids would enjoy for years. When I got home I noticed the binding was coming coming loose - I call the Ark and no questions asked they sent me a new copy for not charge. So I was happy that they stood by there produces they sold. 😀

When I self analyzed a little more, I can pinpoint my frustration. Which has less to do with the ark and more to with our circumstance. We were there for the Cincinnati, Children’s Hospital. A group of us went on our non-doctor day. We were finding out if our son had a disease and I was angry that they wanted $40 for pictures because I wanted to get him one. He was so excited to be there, but we couldn’t afford it. It was really expensive to go there & I wanted one pic, not all 4. I could have done $10 but that wasn’t an option & they were clear, all or nothing. If it was any other day or circumstance, I probably would not have been as upset & understood they need to make money to stay afloat, from a business perspective. I just wasn’t in that headspace.
Concerning the tv commercial that touts the Bible as a history book.
As a science advocate, I take strong issue with the nonscience the Ark Adventure peddles to families and students. Their parody of the scientific method does real harm, bleeding inexorably into education and public policy. The wholehearted embrace of "alternative facts" and the rejection of plain evidence are making our society more and more polarized.
Concerning their commercial, the Bible is NOT a history book as they claim. Historians must rely on physical evidence and accounts judged probable given known natural laws. Therefore, biblical accounts involving overt miracles-while possibly true from a religious perspective-do not meet the high bar required to qualify as historically reliable. Deceptive or not?
In contrast to theology, history as an academic discipline deals with people, events, and evidence that can be empirically analyzed. Historians focus on discovering facts, uncovering primary sources, and verifying claims through critical analysis. Unlike matters of faith, historical claims can be corroborated by tangible proofs like archaeological findings, written records from the time period, corroborating accounts, etc. Historians rely on evidence, not faith.
Legitimate historiography requires examining all texts and sources according to uniform benchmarks of reliability and accuracy. Biblical writings cannot withstand the same scrutiny and corroboration applied to non-religious historical documents and often rely on supernatural explanations.
Hence, the Bible fails to meet conventional standards for impartial, evidence-based history.

How long should you plan to be there?
We did only half a day at the Ark 2 PM-6 PM (and the first half the day was spent at the Creation Museum 9 AM-1 PM, 45 minutes away). I wish we had time to do a full day at each. If you have the time to give your Ark Encounter visit a day or at least more than four hours like we had, then you should be able to see everything. We saw the whole Ark and the petting zoo, but there was other things we did not get a chance to check out, looking back we wished we had more time. My daughter had just turned 4yrs. when we went and there were things she definitely enjoyed (in the ark) but if you really want your child to appreciate and get more out of it then maybe wait until she is a little older. They do have the zoo along with a petting zoo there, which is always fun for the little ones. And now I hear that they have a carousel 🎠 They also have a really cool & unique playground - unfortunately we didn’t have time for playing on it the day we went. Hope this is helpful! 😊
We are going there for a field trip. It looks kinda boring, eccept for the ziplines. A few years ago we went to the creation museum and i thought it was boring except for the cool playground. I sure hope this is better.

This is impressive though I don't necessarily thing the people and animals were very comfortable. And the ark in Noah's day never looked this good if it even existed. But this attraction is worth visiting and I recommend. Hope I have a chance to see this attraction as I live in the state just above Kentucky.

Tickets are about 60 bucks EACH for adults and teenagers are 30, EACH.

So for my "Family" (a little group thing - I care about people, so I kind of adopted some...)
It would cost me 390 Bucks for a Day trip, just to get in.

What hotels did you stayed at and how many times did you have to visit to get through the entire park?
We stayed at a hotel that was closer to the Creation Museum, and it was one of the hotels by the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky airport. (I can't remember the name of it, but I did not think very highly of our experience at that hotel so I would not even recommend it!). We did the Creation Museum the first half the day then drove over to the Ark for the 2nd half the day. Last spent that night at a Quality Inn in Lexington (again I did not care for the hotel 😆). If we had more time I would have like to have spent one day at each - One day Creation Museum and a one FULL day at the Ark. If you have the time, I recommend giving yourself more time. But one full day should be enough time to see it all. I hope that was helpful! Thanks so much for watching Julie 💜
There are 2 hotels on the same exit as the Ark one of them being right beside the parking lot of the Ark. the next big town of Georgetown is about 30 minutes away.

Where did you stay? I want to go but not sure if I need a hotel and if there’s any of those nearby
The first night we stayed at a hotel 15 minutes from the Creation Museum, that was 45 minutes from the Ark Encounter. A Country Inn by the Cincinnati Airport, KY. And the second night we stayed in a hotel in Lexington, KY (I did not really care for that one though). Both the Ark & Creation Museum have recommended nearby hotels on their website (that is probably best to go by). Or google hotels around the Ark Encounter address, if looking for a better deal. I am sure they have lots of options closer to the Ark Encounter, however we were traveling through that area so we moved around to different hotels. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching!!!

There’s a new Hampton Inn in the parking lot of the Ark as well as another smaller hotel on the same exit. The next biggest town of Georgetown is 30 minutes away.

And also I don't know if they offer lockers (I did not notice any while we were there). We love the ark encounter and the creation museum! Next time we go it’ll be a different time of year. It was extremely busy when we went - it was so packed it was hard to enjoy ourselves. Looks like you went during the perfect time!
Yes we went the end of May, before all the schools got out and summer vacation busyness started. Plus we went on a Monday, they had told us to avoid weekends as they tend to be busier. I hope you get a chance to go back and enjoy a more pleasant experience, I know it can get difficult to enjoy the experience when it’s crowded. Thank you so much for watching!

Yes, and perhaps the kids free admission this year is drawing up bigger crowds? I would think weekdays this time of year (the early fall) would slow down a bit. Maybe next year also it will not be as busy if they don’t offer the kids free admission. Again sorry it was so crowded when you went.

Where did you stay?
We just stayed at a Quality Inn that was in Lexington Kentucky, however, I don’t recommend it personally (we mainly stayed there for convenience, but I was not happy with the hotel - it was definitely not quality 😄). There is lots of better hotels, and reasonably priced hotels in the Lexington Kentucky area. There might be closer places to stay as well, but that I’m not sure of. I think the website for the Ark Encounter does have some recommended hotels.

How many hours would you say it takes to explore just the ark encounter site?
I would say for the inside of the Ark a good three hours, that gives you a chance to read a lot of the displays and really get to take in the exhibits. There is lots do on property, so you will want more time if you want to see other things they have to offer. We only spent a half a day there (4 hours) but if you have the opportunity give yourself more time. I hope that was helpful! Thank you so much for watching 😊

We did both the ark encounter and the creation museum in one full day - however I highly recommend if you have the time give yourself two days. I think each location needs one day, maybe 6 hours (at each place) to get to see everything. squeezing both places into one day I think was a bit much for us. We’ll have a little one and a toddler come with us if we go, I wonder if you recommend for this with a younger kids age especially in summer. Also, please let me know how many hours did you ended up spending. Thanks 😊
The petting zoo and real cool playground area I would say is ideal for the little ones! (True, it can be pretty warm out in the day during the summer. We went in mid May, so we did not feel the heat as much then). Walking around the Ark is all stroller friendly - which is very helpful when you have little ones. It is for sure do-able with babies and toddlers and can be fun, but if you really want to go and take in more of the exhibits then maybe wait to go when they are older. Our youngest was 4 and we enjoyed taking her. We spend about 4 hours there, I would have like to have spent a little time more if we could, but with having our kids with us it was about the right amount of time. Hope this is helpful! How many hours did it take to you explore the whole place?
When we went we got there around 2 PM and stayed until 6 PM I would definitely recommend more time than that, but you can see everything in the ark in half a day as well as the petting zoo. I do wish we had one full day at the whole property as there is more things to see and do. So if time allows I highly recommend giving yourself at least a day to see everything at the ark encounter.
