Instead of wasting time on the joke, going "EUGH, AGH, GET IN THERE", it's simply a gag that's in the background as you waste no time getting on with the explanation.
You may not realize it, but the way your structure your videos is really well done, congrats on that Johnny.
Agreed a million times. Some of the most successful reviewers (cough Nostalgia Critic cough) tend to beat you over the head with their jokes, even when it's equal parts painfully obvious and unfunny. John is such a professional with his reviews. He's never trying too hard to do anything. Some goofy subtle humor, highly in-depth reviews, and a work ethic that shows through. Maybe the most under-appreciated game reviewer on CZcams.

is that a reference to johntron? cause johntron is more of a satire/comedy first hand look at rather than a semi professional review. you can compare the two as one is meant for an actual impression and the other is meant for satire.
GARANIKOR also, any jokes that "aren't funny" dont overstay their welcome, all his jokes are quick, and at least 97% of them hit the mark

Johnny if you ever get to the Jak series and get to Jak X you will be blown away on how the story actually makes sense as to why the characters are racing to begin with.
I'd honestly love for him to review the Jak series. Those games always felt so deep to me, especially the 2nd one

I remember begging for this game for Christmas a long time ago. When I finally got it, I wasn't disappointed at all. Watching this video gave me some serious flashbacks. It also filled my desire to search for my old PS1 and play the hell out of it. Thanks for yet another great review, Johnny!

One of the earliest racing games I played and also my introduction to Crash Bandicoot. I had fun times playing it at my best friend's house.
Polar bash is still my favorite mini game of all time. I used to just play it for hours. I also love CTR and I've always wanted mario kart to have a single player like it or diddy kong racing where there's a hub world you can drive around in and then eventually have a boss race

Ahhh Crash Team Racing and Crash Bash... I remember playing these games all the time because my mom actually loved to play them. It was one of the few things that my mom and I had a shared interest in, and I love the two games myself. Good memories..

CTR is better than any mario kart game (except that the online version doesn't have 4 player) the drifting and boosting and jumping make the game feel SO much faster than any mario kart game and you're so busy in all the races to keep going as fast as possible, the items are useful but will barely ever fuck you over so unlike any mario kart game being skilled guarantees a win and this has a story mode for single player that's very expansive even with boss races and shits on anything Mario Kart offers for single player, DS was good but it;s just missions that can be really annoying

Well over half of your statements are wrong i like ctr but mario kart is much better
still a shit counter argument but let's see, the drifitng and boosting and jumps are much more tightly packed in CTR like you're almost always boosting or drifting Mario Kart has done more of that recently but not as much like sewer speedway and oxide station from CTR has you going faster and putting in more effort to race well than any Mario Kart race, the items in Mario kart fuck you over in EVERY game and it's always a question of will the game let you win not so much in 8 but still you have to deal with the coin item then, and only one mario kart games has a proper single player and quite a few of the missions there are annoying compared to CTR that actually has a story to it so no none of the arguments I made are wrong, you could argue that the later mario kart games like 8 have more memorable courses with all the gimmicks they had or that with CTR you need an original playstation with the 4 player tab to have 4 people play but other than that it's just better, and saying no you're wrong and not saying why is a shit counter argument before you do it again

Crash Team Racing is an awesome racing game and, back in the day, I think it was the only kart racing game that was as good as Mario Kart 64.

I think that Mario Kart 64 is a slightly better game than Crash Team Racing, but I think that's because I grew up with MK64 and and I haven't played CTR yet. There's a difference of watching stuff and playing stuff but I have played Diddy Kong Racing and I love that game almost as much as MK64.
By the way, when John means a ****ton of single player in Crash Bash, he means it. I played through it a while ago to see what the bare minimum would be to unlock everything. 28 trophies, 25 gems, 23 crystals, and 21 relics (Can be as low as 17 gold + 4 Platinum) and your percentage when you finish it? 132%! So yeah, it's a HELL of a lot!

This video was really good as I think they are great multiplayer games. By the way in the adventure mode of Crash Bash there's a 2 player co op option, which is way more fun than playing by yourself. Also that Crash dance at the end was awesome.

I love CTR!!! My dad owned it when I was little and I beat the one player mode in one day. I also had a blast playing multiplayer mode with family. Crash Bash on the other hand I only played on a demo and it wasn't so fun... Crash Dance! That was great! Great review Johnny!

As a European, it sounds so strange hearing the intro say "Sony Computer Entertainment of America". Maybe that's what nostalgia does to you. Great review as always, dude. Loved CTR and Bash was actually my first Crash game. A bad starting point but my second was Warped which made me fall in love.
