Things I never need to plant again if I let them go to seed: Borage, coneflower, Sweet William, cilantro, poppies, marigolds and calendulas. They pop up everywhere and all are easy to move or pull.
Great to know about winter sown tomatoes as I’m testing peppers and tomatoes in my garden to see if they produce the same as indoor starts.
Love the forget me nots and just bought seeds for pink. The pansies 🤩 look great in a pot crowded together.
I’ve discovered bigger onions by growing from seed and planting in full sun 6” apart. I realized a bit late this year that onion seeds don’t keep past a year. Hope they get to the finish line as it’s almost summer solstice and it’s bulbing time here.
So hot, humid and bouts of rain the rust and soon mildew will be here so I ripped out most of the poppies as there was way too many and need air. The mosquitoes were not in my garden vision for this year, but they are here anyways. Not too enjoyable with a head net on, long sleeves and it’s 90 degrees as I see NJ is also.
😂😂you have no choice on the lemon balm😂😂it stays whether you want it or not-just kidding. Ohhh, the Agastache 👏🏼👏🏼🤩 it looks similar to penstemon!! Can’t wait to see it here as I have Raspberry Daiquiri and Apache Sunset. By accident I planted the new Josephine clematis near the variegated pink penstemon and it really looked nice. It’s a happy dance when you surprise yourself 😅.
Your veg garden is set up very nice. Good luck to us both if we miss the vine borer.

Peppers have not fruited for me early enough when I winter sowed them so this year I grew the peppers and eggplant indoors. Have not seen any lemon balm or agastache self seed. I got rid of the lemon balm from last year because I barely used it and needed the space for other things. The agastache got moved to my front garden but it is not as happy there in the clay soil.

Wow you're plants are huge. They look great. Hahah nasturtiums are monsters hahaha. I love those violas I have. A few that have self seeded from last year.
What kind of alyssum a that? It looks really upright. I bought seeds for a purple variety a few days ago.
Wow that supersweet 100 is crazy. I'm planning on less pruning this year too, see how it goes ahahha.
Love the coleus!!!! So fun. The hucheras look great in the container. I didn't bother starting any calendula this year. I get a ton self seeding and poppies too.
Ohh I've wanted to try box car willy, heard good things about them. I'm impressed with the winter sown tomatoes. I always baby mine hehhe.

The alyssum is Royal Carpet. As the season progresses they will drape. I only had one calendula self seed.

What are the green hoop poles called that you have over the summer squash? They look like tent poles but I'd like some if they sell separately.

I got the hoops on Amazon. I have a link to them in my Amazon store. They call them Garden Hoops for Raised Beds. Hope that helps.

The names that end in -ii are pronounced ee-eye. You say the name Jackman and then ee-eye. Jackman-ee-eye.
I have a Philadelphus Lewisii and it's Lewis-ee-eye but I always put the emphasis on the 2nd syllable and say lew-WEES-ee-eye but it's not really correct.
