Thanks!! For the motivation!! I have a 68 Cougar XR7 with a Jaguar 6.0L V12 in it. I am 66% done. I am just stuck with the ECU programming. When it gets warmer in western Massachusetts I will get back in the garage and hopefully have it driving under it's own power by the end of spring.
The amount of knowledge these guys have is incredible... Just the fact that they're able to instantly recognize plugs on a harness in less than a second is incredible. I thought I was kinda good with cars/electronics, but even on the stuff I know and am paid to do I'm far less knowledgable. Very impresive!

It would be great if we could get an official way to recondition salvaged Teslas keeping them electric. And be able to still supercharger after a safety inspection.
@@ecospider5 that would be amazing but Tesla would rather sell you a new one.. thus when one is salvaged it’s automatically turned off for super charging, 😢
@@ecospider5 They made a process for this, though it is laborious and there is no true guarantee you'll be granted supercharging again.

What I liked about the show FantomWorks is that they show you how long a build/restoration job actually takes by showing a day counter for each job.
Like a restoration job on a '62 Continental will kick the episode off then halfway it'll say "Day 143"

Fabricate a mount for a generator/ alternator to make a no plug in Tesla. It can charge the quadrants of batteries. 1 or 2 quadrants are powering the vehicle while the other 2 quadrants are being recharged. Cool beans 😎

Wasn't really into this channel until someone told me you was dropping a V8 in the Tesla and I said this man's a god send. Cuz the only way you'll get a Tesla in my driveway if it has a V8 in it. And if he can do it I know I could definitely do it.
For traction, I'd use a trunk mounted battery. Depending on how much Tesla stuff is saved, it might use a lot of power when parked, compared to a I.C.E. car. Great stuff, Rich, thanks! I've only swapped my car from automatic to manual, an 80's muscle car.

Coming from a motor trimmer, You take headliner’s out the passenger front door. Yes they are installed through the windshield in the factory but you remove and install them through the front passenger door
