Also an acclaimed scholar and researcher Dr Indira Hegde hails from Kinnigoli. A post graduate degree holder, Indira also has done D Lit and is a post graduate diploma holder in social studies.
Her credentials have now earned her the coveted chairmanship of the Mangaluru Taluk Kannada Sahitya Sammelan scheduled to be held at St Agnes College on January 29.
Dr Indira Hegde who is also an entrepreneur has authored three collection of stories, four novels and an anthology of poems. Her research work "Buntaru ondu Samajo Samskrutiya Adhyayana,’ has also been translated into English.
She has been honoured with several prestigious awards including Karnataka Janapada Academy Award, Rani Abbakka Award, Kamana Ranga Swami Endowment Award and Sahitya Academy Award.

She gave birth to 2 Naga rajas.
Elder brother Naga had 77,000 hoods with black colour..his name is Karipala
Younger brother also had 77,000 hoods with silver colour, his name is sankapala.
Also some people equate this Nagarajas as incarnation of Vishnus Adishesha, and Shivas Vasuki naga.
And theier Sister is Ullalthi and kanni Ullalthi.
Only in our clan we give kola to Naga birmer..
It happens once in 2 weeks.
