We know that mice do a lot of damage to our home. Especially, they spread disease among us. That is why it is so important to keep our house mouse-free.
There are many types of mouse trap available in the market which is a bit expensive. So I have shown here how to make a low-cost bucket mouse trap at home and how to use it to keep the house mouse-free.
It is not my intention to physically suffer animals. My main purpose is to keep the house free of harmful mice, mouse, and rats.

An old friend of mine had a bad mouse infestation a couple of years ago. He said that this type of mouse trap worked very well.
Neat mouse catcher. If you would just change the pivot location, you would not need the weight of the nuts! Cut the notch in the PVC and then find the center of balance of the tube and put the hole a little past it

Tip: try not to touch bait with your hands. Sometimes the mouse/rat smells human hands and decided against falling for the trap. This happened to me personally.

Add about 1/2 inch of car antifreeze in bucket, then too slippery for mouse to get out, they die fast and do not stink. Great for catching half dozen mice in garage or cabin.
Or just water.....then they will be safe for wildlife to eat.
@@rcbif101 it's funny that you should comment on this this morning, I've had a bucket in my garage for quite a while and over time I caught seven mice in the bucket. Over that period of time I've had three mice in my basement which I've caught two of them in regular mouse traps. But last night was the first time I caught a mouse in my bucket trap inside the house.

Can this work for big-ol Rats? Rats are alittle scared or smarter for some reason. Not too much guys are making traps for Big big Rats. Anyways, thanks for these awesome videos!

Yes. That's why you can use a small amount of cooking oil in a bucket. Then because of the slipperiness, they will not be able to grip and jump properly.

The rats in my house can jump out of the bucket like child’s play!!!! They actually fly. I don’t know how.
Put water in the bottum
they DONT fly unless they're sugar gliders
first, get a larger and deeper bucket. second, fill it with a bottle of cheap kitchen oil. a 1-litre bottle should do it. if you wanna get rid of the rats at the spot, put a mix of water and dish detergent into the bucket. fill it 1/3 with the mixture.

While they’re trapped inside the bucket spray them with concentrated Hydrochloric or Sulphuric Acid, make sure you’re wearing thick rubber gloves, and eye safety goggles, plus don’t spray them to death inside your home, do it in your garden
Take then the rats go away from home and leave it in a field.

Not sure if this mouse trap is actually effective or if it was just a dumb mouse that didn't jump far enough. That was an awfully small mouse. Ours are much bigger

The bucket needs to be quite deep as they can jump to the top otherwise.
