ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown recently produced a piece on the inspirational OJ Brigance which aired prior to the Baltimore Ravens game against the Indianapolis Colts on January 6, 2013.
My life will forever be touched by another great man who suffered from this awful disease. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him. My life was truly blessed for knowing him ... I just wish we were given more time. Hang in there O.J.
OJ BRIGANCE played 3 years of college football, so he worked harder in college than the 4-year scholar who told him such a baffling diagnosis. Nevertheless a man, who likely sat behind a desk throughout OJ Brigance's glorious career and display of physical superiority, is paid close to the same amount of money as warriors like Brigance to ruin their excitement with a false judgement. Proverbs 18:21 says "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof", so in the eyes of God such a death report at the peak of one's success is considered a bullet, not merely a lesson. In the name of Jesus, arise OJ.
