CBS broadcast of the pregame show January 6, 2012. If you are from Baltimore, you will always remember where you were when you saw Ray Lewis exit the tunnel.
You will never never never see another player play at his intensity. For all 15 years he gave 150% . There will never be another Ray Lewis. His entrance alone is undefeated
Even tho I'm late with this response but I totally agree with u James. I am a die hard Steelers Fan. Ray Lewis was special tho. He definitely the heart and soul not just for the Baltimore Ravens but In Football Period. Salute To You Ray Lewis. What Time Is It!!!!
Brings tears to my eyes.... makes me think of a simpler times....sitting on the couch with my dad every Sunday watching the ravens play, I bugged my dad the whole game asking him all about it, do you think they’ll run the ball dad? Do you think the call will get overturned dad? Do you think there’s enough time for us (the Ravens) to catch back up dad? My dad wasn’t a very patient man but he always answered my questions about the game, and told me what was going on when I was young and didn’t understand. Oh the things we take for granted. I would give anything to be able to just sit down and watch the game right now with my dad :/
Im sure Haloti will get in when his 5 years have passed. May not be first ballot (although i would love it to be) but i can see him getting in one day. He definitely deserves it, for the years he gave us and the ones that followed.
if it was one career i was glad to watch on tv as a kid growing up...was the career of ray lewis. Best linebacker and one of the best defensive players of all time...
I was very sad when the introductions started. When ray came out, I couldn't stop crying. I cried every playoff game all the way to the end of Superbowl XLVII. Congrats Ray.
l was at that game against the Colts in the Wild Card round. l remember being AWESTRUCK by this legend they called Ray Lewis. L had been to a few home games before, but this was different. Knowing this was IT, win or lose, this was going to be the last time this man would perform in front of the home crowd. Then came the last play of the game. How fitting it was to see Ray on the field, on OFFENSE no less. Joe Flacco takes the snap, hands the ball off to Ray, and he goes into his dance one last time for the crowd. Over 70,000 fans, all of them crying tears of joy, and DAMNIT, l'm proud to say that l was one of them. It seems almost poetic in a way that the Ravens would go all the way to another Super Bowl win for their leader. A fitting ending for not only a champion of an athlete, but also for a champion of a MAN.
I bet it was great man to watch him play, especially with a torn tricep not even healed fully. He put all effort on the field and trusted God man. He prospered is all I can say. I was 10 years old watching that game instead of heading to church with my grandma. I had to watch him
Like the guy or hate the guy there is no denying that this was someone you wanted on the team. Hard find to have a guy with that much passion but more importantly high football IQ and can play the position at another level.
I don’t think I will EVER EVER EVER be able to forget being at that colts game and will never be able to replicate that feeling I got in that stadium when ray lewis came out for the last time!
I use this to get hype at the gym! There’s nothing like coming out of the tunnels on a Saturday afternoon... I could only imagine doing it on Sundays! He was a warrior!
From Dad taking me to see the ravens @ memorial stadium to me taking dad to what would be our last game together. Stadium will never be the same without Ray and when the song drops lol
A man of God first and foremost, but a legend, an icon, a friend to so many teammates, team staff and fans, Ray poured his heart into the game, even if your not a Baltimore fan it'd be incredibly tough not to love and respect the man, listen to his Hall of Fame speech and you'll hear his passion, trust me it is so infectious!
I was on my way too work unmotivated today.. this vid came up … I saw it & ray got me so hyped up my whole mood for work changed… I just sacked my boss & quit
To be at Pittsburgh die-hard fan this was very emotional because you could not say Baltimore without Ray Lewis one of the best that ever did it I can only imagine how I'm going to feel when we lose big ben this year
Titans fan here. Most importantly a fan of the sport. Ray Lewis is no doubt a true Titan of the sport. May never see another player with the passion and drive he had for the game. Great player.
If that doesn’t give you chills, you’ve got no clue as to what football is all about! This man ALWAYS had his weapon off safety and was was to fire! God Bless you Ray Lewis, for showing all of us what true INTENSITY & PASSION for football looks like! ✊🏽💯🙏🏽
I saw Ray Lewis LIVE in Oakland for the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP game in 2002. He came out of the tunnel by himself and egged on the entire Oakland stadium! It was electric!
As a Cleveland Brown Only you & James Harrision stroke the fear into me,I have nothing but respect for you.Not only were you a great football player but also great leader off the field and not only did you trash talk among the best but backed it up. You will always be one of my favorites of all time to watch Ray!!!
The dance comes from a guy! Whose name was Kirby Lee! A small town called Bradley Junction. South of Lakeland/Mulberry Florida. I went to school with his Mother! A very sweet woman. Protected and cared for her younger siblings! Ms. Buffy. Very soft spoken lady. But she could hold her own! She never started a fight. But she definitely knows how to end them. Very beautiful woman inside and outside!
I really miss the Ravens back when they had that Super Bowl Squad. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Anquon Boldin, Ray Rice, Tory Smith, Terrell Suggs, Haloti Nota, Joe Flacco. They were a very well put together team then. They were literally unstoppable during that time.
Been an Eagles fan since Cunningham and Reggie White played but The Ravens I routed for every game except against the eagles. Ray was my favorite defensive player of all time.💯😤
From a pro-bowler to a 3x pro-bowler to a 5x pro-bowler and Dpoy to an 8x pro-bowler and Dpoy and finally a 13x pro-bowler 2x Dpoy and Superbowl MVP, That defense was Legendary and had a 12 year stretch (being a top 5 defense) that most organizations couldnt dream of in a lifetime. #52 HOF(G.O.A.T LB) #20 HOF(G.O.A.T FS)
This brings tears to my eyes, this was such a special moment in Ravens history, what a year this was
You are so right my friend. I remember this.the last night we saw the man #52 do his last dance!! . Thanks Ray we still miss you!
And the Bills just sent those bums HOME tonight lmaoooooooo
@@illmatic826 Just confused because that holds absolutely no relevance to this video or Ray Lewis

For real!
Well seeing its IMPOSSIBLE to give more then 100%😉😉
Greatest defensive player of all time, no man could lead a defense like him
@@King_Immanuel Nah but he was great!
17 years actually
I'm a Steelers fan and this gives me chills. I loved watching Ray Lewis play even against my Steelers. Glad he went out on top.
Those games were indeed some of the most intense and best games to watch.
Who would you rather go heads up with running through the hole Harrison or Lewis ?
Either way there’s going to be slot of pain.
Appreciate it

Sounds like a hero.
I miss when NBC and CBS show the field intros and the action around the field beside the game, makes you feel like you were at the game in the crowd
Ah this hits home hard I used to be like this with my wives grandpa he was a great Texan and I miss him rip Pepe
rip to your dad
I understand. I feel the same way. Now I just hope to make those kinds of memories with my two kids.
It’s these memories that make life long fan allegiances.
I remember watching that and just being amazed by this and then Ed reed saying “ ssh “ to introduce ray Lewis was awesome amazing memories.
Same with eric weddle being introduced and then terrell suggs get introduced last and then noise go crazy.
Kyng Beast I’m named after Ed reed
best part. I thought that from the moment Ed did that. The "shh" to the turning and pointing.
You know you are a Legend when even Ed Reed say dont cheer me,keep quiet, the Legend is coming out
Much Respect 🙏 🫡
Four hall of Famers in that lineup

Crazy thing is that defense wasn’t near as good as it usually was back then.

Jesus what a stacked defense
@@phillipgillespie6098 it was but it wasn't. Ray and Ed were passed their primes. Ngata and Suggs were still in their primes tho.
I'm a Raiders fan but I have to admit I liked that dance Ray Lewis did.Hell of a LB!!Respect!!
8 years later still watching ray Lewis hit this dance... The dance alone belongs into the HOF 💯
That defense was insane!!!!!! And I will always remember rays dance it made me sack my couch.
Lol 😂
They had 3 NFL defensive players of the year on 1 team from DL LB DB
Ray Lewis in 2018 and Ed Reed in 2019 walked into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Terrell Suggs will be next five years after he plays his last game.
Yup, and they were all on the same team when each won their award. How cool is that lol
And a perennial Pro Bowler in Haloti Ngata
@@Eli-ss9gj hell yeah they better not forget 💯 my hometown hero Inglewood stand up 🙌🏾

I literally watch this a couple times a year #1 for 2023
Damn I miss these guys so much
Just watched his dance repeatedly, brings tears to my eyes!!!
No other NFL celebration dance could ever compare to "Deion Sanders" Two Step, or Ray Lewis's Squirrel Dance!! The goats!
I still get goosebumps watching this WOW!!!
Ed Reed set him up for the come out, Ray won the game just by the entrance. Miss these days
Damn I miss this era of football
I mostly watch this man whenever I'm sad or feeling tired about something then get hyped. He's really motivational.
I'm not even a Ravens fan but this was lit!.. Much respect for R. Lewis. Def going down to be one of the best to ever play the game.
I cycle in highland beach Florida where Ray lives and I get to see Ray on his bike all the time. Sometimes I forget he’s a legend
