  • In "Why We Don't Fight The Humans," a young Krellian historian, Xylix, embarks on a quest to understand why his advanced alien race has never engaged in war with humans. His journey through historical archives reveals humans' unique resilience, ingenuity, and acts of kindness, which have earned the Krellians' respect and fear, leading to a longstanding non-aggression pact. Xylix's discoveries of a shared, collaborative past between the two species challenge his society's beliefs and pave the way for a future of mutual understanding and cooperation.

    There is clearly a larger narrative in this short story to be explored and created. There’s so much more to be flashed out along the primary characters journey. I can easily see this as an animation or graphic novel.

    Change is often difficult for those holding the reins of power and status. They're selfish, only caring about their standing. Revealing that kind of truth, they believe, threatens to make them ordinary. Threatens to make them look wrong in the eyes of those following them. And one with such power can never be seen to be wrong.

      Many people who have learned from bad examples will tell you that admitting you're wrong can be one of the best signs that you *deserve* the power you have.

      What gave it away? Was it the sudden jump to a secret space station to meet robe clad elders out of the blue? Or the sheer ignorance that the protagonist exhibited in thinking he wasn't being watched by a shadow org. after being told by the elders to piss off and stop poking into things? Ether way I tend to agree with you. That or it is a young story teller just starting their way in the world of fiction.

      Well, it is out of touch with how politics work and, seriously, if there's been opposition to a finding, like that, they'd have defamed the guy out of existence. It's what politicians do every single time someone asks an inconvenient question or brings up an inconvenient fact. Only a human who hasn't spent a lot of time dealing with facts and adverse agendas would make this mistake. The forums (Google's training ground for AI's) is riddled with examples of Ad Hominem and Straw Man arguments which get trotted out every single time someone asks the wrong question or brings up a fact which conflicts with a "consensus" doctrine. An AI would know better but it's not exactly something which gets taught in school.

      @@DeathclawJedi Well yeah those definitely, but also the general style and wording of it, it basically glows. Plus the description has "rich tapestry" in it, AI for some reason loves that term.

      I write and upload fiction. Full time I can manage about two stories a week. Some of the HFY channels manage two a day.
      But look at the growth of this channel. Is this what people want? @@DeathclawJedi

    Woulda been cool if the twist was a joint research team of the brightest scientists from both worlds figured out time travel and sent that artifact back in time...

    absurd story.
    2 spacefaring species meet and have a relationship long enough to explore the galaxy and create an artifact that has a display in both languages.
    then they forget that they were going along
    i repeat, 2 spacefaring species, obviously perfectly able to store historic knowledge (since they stored tech knowledge) basically for ever... forget their shared past while still living in close contact with each other
    not to mention that humans are obsessed with not only writing history books, biographies, but also love writing fiction books based on historical events

      And yours is an absurd comment.

    • @WarpstormChronicles
      @WarpstormChronicles Před 6 měsíci

      It's most likely because there wasn't a planned narrative and the story was written by a language model that 'made it up as it went along'.
      Congratulations on the channels success though, people seem to like this kind of story telling.
