- Die 28-jährige Gugu kommt ursprünglich aus Südafrika und wohnt jetzt in Hamburg. In Südafrika hatte sie mit ihrer Band bereits eine Nummer-1-Single. Derzeit spielt sie im Musical "Der König der Löwen" die Rolle der Nala. Kann sie die Coaches mit ihrer Erfahrung und dem Lied "I Look To You" von Whitney Houston von sich überzeugen?

"The Voice of Germany" 2021
Nach den Blind Auditions, bei denen die Talente allein durch ihren Gesang überzeugen müssen und darauf hoffen, dass ein oder mehrere Coaches für sie buzzern, werden die Sängerinnen und Sänger von ihren Coaches betreut. Sie nehmen sich Zeit, um die Talente besser kennenzulernen, ihre Stärken auszufeilen und an Schwächen zu arbeiten. Dabei erhalten die Talente wichtige Ratschläge und Tipps, denn ab jetzt gilt es, sich gegen die anderen starken Musiker durchzusetzen.
In den folgenden Shows müssen die Talente die Battles und die Sing-Offs bestehen. Dabei singen sie gegeneinander und müssen als Besserer hervorgehen. In jeder Folge kommen nur einige Talente weiter, bis im Finale der Gewinner von den Zuschauern gewählt wird.
In Staffel 11 von "The Voice of Germany" nimmt die Soulsängerin und Songwriterin zum ersten Mal auf einem der roten Stühle Platz. Daneben feiert auch Sänger und Songwriter Johannes Oerding sein Debut am Buzzer. Sarah Connor und Johannes Oerding buhlen in den Blind Auditions an der Seite von Mark Forster und Nico Santos um die Gunst der besten Talente.

Bei dem Auftritt von Nico hat er es sich wirklich verdient, dass sie zu ihm geht. Außerdem hat sie in seinem Team mehr Chancen, weil hier weniger Baladen Sängerinnen als bei Sarah unterwegs sind.

Every time i listen to this song its always reminds me of Whitney ...her comeback moment after her world crushed into pieces...i got goosebump..almost cry..im still my 20s now but i follow her journey...coz my mom loves whitney so much even in her funurel my mom was in the fans crowd...
Gugu super gesungen! Schön, dass Nico endlich Mut hat, aus der Versenkung zu kommen und zeigt, dass er richtig gut ist und dass es sich lohnt zu ihm ins Team zu gehen, siehe letztes Jahr, der Dankessong seines Teams. Nico sollte öffters singen! Schade, dass Sarah, charakterlich in Punkto Fairness total daneben und auf Ego ist. Nachdem sie in 4 Blinds 4x mit den Talenten gesungen hat und so beste Talente in ihr Team geholt hat, gönnt sie Nico weder das Vorsingen noch den Erfolg. Zum Glück für Nico, Mark und Johannes hat Sarah nur noch freie Plätze für 2 Talente in den kommenden 5 Blinds.
Ich finde vor allem, dass da manchmal die Vernunft fehlt. Die Damen letztes Jahr hatten ein gutes Gefühl dafür, was zu ihnen passt und was nicht, das hat noch für Balance gesorgt.
Ich finde, Sarah hat bloß eine Rolle gespielt - mir kam es nicht so verbissen vor, wie man meinen könnte.
Nico hat wirklich schön gesungen eines der besten und schönsten Lieder von Michael Jackson vor allem auf dem Album This is it. Grüße Marcel

To tackle a Whitney Houston is a mammoth task. This was one of Whitney's last songs she recorded. It didn't get much air play because her vocal cords were damaged due to her addiction. It's very hard to believe she is gone even after all this time. She had a range that was unbelievable. Her voice was pure. There will never be another Whitney. It broke my heart when she left us. She will always be in our hearts.
